Trolls may have come back and rating us down....

mylot is doing so much changes... and i am just shocked! because i was not being active here for the whole day then suddenly i see some of our words having underline on them. why is that? oh! i am confuse... its a new rule that new members cannot rate? that is totally new to me.

jhe when did it start that new users can not rate? Do they have to wait for a certain number of posts or what?

Read my post above it, they changed it so that people can't make many accounts and down rate a particular person.

Hello Gorjess, Thank you so much for the information, i really didn't know about it. probably i should have give that BR to you.lolz that's why i don't easily trust so-called online friends, because they're are others who pretend to be a friend and they stab you in the back by rating you negative. .

I have my suspicion but id rather keep it to my self. Am glad mylot had done something about this, it's a good thing newbies can't harm our reputation anymore, no wonder i don't see much trolls around here

i have my fair share of losing my points/posts and even my star rating... well, i was affected at first but not this time. i don't want to cultivate that kind of ill-feeling. who ever pulled my rating down or deducted on e from my posts total, thanks! at least i know that gives my write ups time.

as long as i make my ideas clear with whatever topic i respond to and received an affirmation from the discussion's author... i am fine.

Well, at least you lost one point there Lovely Jhelai but look at dbuthe king here, he was close to ninety eight and then all of a sudden his reputation started dropping like flies, and until it finally turned red, almost 90+ only i think. you're still lucky, must be some thing i said alright. man, who on earth did i piss this time..

oh! maybe the changes and upgradea made our ratings low as well? i do hope to know more. oh! i am late again ... been busy the whole day thru...

There has not been anything official about it but we have spoken about it in other discussions.

No user can rate any other user more than 11 times in 24 hours now either.

why would that be my friend? oh! i dont know about this. jhelai

Jhelai if you rate others you would notice that at a certain point the boxes do not 'stick' because you have gone over the amount of ratings allowed in one day.

oh! now i get it. but well i am over 11 this time already. but still i can rate... maybe the upgrades are doing this?

Jhelai it appears that you can rate but if you refresh the page you will see that the boxes are available again for those users where you have already rated 11 times today because they are not counted after 11.

i already rated you 6 times. if i would reach 11 times rating you then there would be no more 12th?

That's right. When you click for the 12th time and then refresh you will see that the box returns there again.

MysD, the "leveling out" theory doesn't really make sense to me. First, not everybody was affected by it. I have talked with both active members and some that just came back. In both groups, some were affected and others were not. Second, I have been on here for two months now. I think that I was allowed to rate for the first day or two, and then I couldn't, so the change has been in affect for quite some time. If it was going to affect ratings, then I think it would have done so before now.

I can't remember when the new system came into place but Mr.Lamb can tell us. It was after hte prompted users to contact mylot that they dealt with it.

If a user a lower post count, any plus or neg rating will have a more immediate effect than the same on a user with a hiugher niumber of posts.

It will take months for mine to move up again for example

It's been in effect for 6-7 weeks now.

I'm sorry. I misunderstood what you meant by "leveling out". Since I have tons less posts than you, my rating can fluctuate more rapidly but your rating will stay the same. I got it now. That must be why no matter how many days in a row I positively rate you, your rating has not gone up.

Mine got bashed way back at the beginning of the year, then started going up until the last problems I had here when it went down to silver. Now it is gradually on the up thanks to many like you

Hi mysdiana, I am late to respond this discussion I figure out they also change maximum myLot code only can be used three in every post which usually five. How about checking scripts on Text? Is it available too? I am wondering this because if I could turn off the scripts so I still can pasted in the text box even below 500 posts, then turn on again after pasting.

I agree but not just trollers but also other users from mylot who simply seeks revenge for merely rating us down. i believe for the moment i should stay away from serious discussion, more precisely Politics. yes, before it was insults but now it has something to do with the ratings. some times i fear if there's a troll that has made to more 200+ post.

hi jhelai. it's been a while since the last time i saw you. it's not actually a line with a postpaid subscription, but only a prepaid subscription that can connect to the internet. you know here, every network company now offers internet broadband and mobile internet in cheap service fees. i just don't have any idea now how this thing is happening to me now. but in some other locations, say in the neighboring city, i can connect without problems and fast.

hello, neilc, well i do remember that i may have said harse things and this was the consequences of that wrong doing. i guess in your case, the internet is the problem, at least you're not being hammered at your reputation, i have actually rated you and so far so good. i hope others will do it too. have a great day

thanks for rating me always buddy. if others will look at our posts positively, then there are really no way our ratings go down. but if these are really trolls, then what can we do? maybe we just get off their way?

James if you are not seeing your friends then maybe you are not using the tabs and profiles and notifiers properly?

In the tabs above you can find the discussions started by your friends. In your friend list you can see their profiles and what they are doing.

And I would say, keep away from the religion and politics section if you can't lie, flatter, or butter people. I think, there is full chances of getting into and arguement there. So, I keep away from there.

there are no other words to express than thank you in your kind words Anora, i don't know if you remember but i was Greeneagle 24 before and that reputation on that account was carnage by people who didn't like my tone of discussion or topics. in the end i got chance to find out that the star has affected my earnings and it's too risky to have bigger enemies, oh, my i almost fell down from the chair thank you again...

Trolls are everywhere on the Internet. I'm new here, so I didn't realize that they're a problem here too. Sigh. Some things don't change, do they?

most specially the trolls in youtube, oh, they are such a monster that will teased you in every way. well, if borjess was right, then i can only assumed that some newbies have became more than five hundred or three hundred post.

Just have to learn to live with these trolls as they are an incurable disease in the net.
