I had just jumped out of the shower this morning. And I had to answer the phone. Maybe "had to" isn't the right way to put it. But one of my fiends is having a major crisis. So I thought it the best thing to do. And I talked with her while getting dressed. How often has something like that happened to you?

I use speakerphone sometimes. But the times that I use it is when I call my Father-In-Law so my children can speak to him. That way everyone can hear Grandpa's voice all at the same time. This saves him having to repeat himself 4 times for all 4 of my children. The only other time I use speakerphone is when I am calling an automated number and I need to write stuff down or else if I am on hold for an extended amount of time. That way I can do other stuff while I am waiting. Have a nice day and happy myLotting!!!

Hello Schulzie, I like to let my kids use speakerphone too, mainly is because I don't want them to put the cell phone near their ears. Yeah, with the cell phone speakers ON, everyone can hear the callers voice. I like this way too where my Father in law likes to call my kids to chit chat. With the speaker ON, I can get to hear what they are talking and I can help my daughter up on how to answer her grand father, LOl. The only things is using speaker the callers can't get to hear us clearly and we have to talk louder. I like to ON speakerphone when I am driving. WE are not suppose to use cell phone while driving, unless you use a earphone or I think speakerphone is still OKAY.

Hi ersmommy mhmmm talking about speaker phones, well they are sometimes quite important, sometimes what happens is that a person calls me on my cell phone asking for some other guy's phone number and this is where i active my speaker phone and it helps . . . i don't like to use it in public though, i bet no one likes to . . . probably something else you need to give your hand at while talking, then it really helps.... have a nice weekend ersmommy!

I don't use the speaker too often when I'm on the phone but one of my daughters is very fond of it. I can always tell when she puts me on speaker and it's a little bit irritating because I can't hear her very well. Once she tried to blow dry her hair while she was talking to me! She loves multitaking...but I told her that I just couldn't scream over the dryer and suggested that she call me back when she as done.

it is not often that i use the loudspeaker while i answer the phone. i had tried it at times though, in a very similar situation u were in ... had to speak to someone while i was dressing up and rushing for work. i think it is sometimes an advantage having loudspeakers to our availability but with other people around, it defeats the purpose of privacy ... well, it would be a different scenario if u let the calling party know he is on speaker phone and that he wants everyone to hear and share conversation.

I use speakerphone if I have my hands full or if it's looking to be a lonnnng conversation with them doing most of the talking. I know, it seems a little insensitive and selfish with my time, but sometimes people just go on and on while there's stuff that needs to be done. I mean, it's not that I'm not listening to them, I'm just... ...multitasking. :D

I often used speakerphone especially when me and my husband called overseas to check our baby's situation. It is an advantage to use that feature so that when you are calling with someone and you are with somebody else who also want to hear it, you may do so.

Hello ersmommy. I love to use the speakerphone of my cell phone while talking on the phone. If I hold the cell phone next to my ear for a long time, my head aches. So I got a cell phone with a speaker, different from the old one. This way, I feel much better talking on the phone without hurting my temple or head. Take care, ersmommy.

I don't have the speakerphone option on my phone, and if I did I'd probably never use it. I hate being on speakerphone, even when I know nobody else is listening. My husband does it to me from work every so often. He dials while on speakerphone and waits for me to pick up. Usually he takes it off speakerphone the moment I answer, but once in awhile his hands are too busy so he leaves me there for a few. I won't say anything, I'll just wait for him to pick up.

I liked using my mobile phones' speakerphone because it flashes the picture of my friends who are calling. And looking at their pictures while talking to them sounds cool to me. . .

I only used speakerphone if I can't hold my phone like when I am driving and I can't find my handsfree. A situation like you was in is a good example too. I can't let the phone to be wet, it's not waterproof. But apart from that, if I can hold it, there's no way I will put it in speaker. I don't like people to listen to my conversation.

I don't usually use speaker phone. Well that was because there's a lot of people here in the house that might hear our conversation. But in cases like yours, I think it's just fine to do that. I don't want my friend to feel unaccompanied in that case.
