Everything now is becoming that much easier in relation to shopping. We shop online and we take out the plastic and it's just so easy. We rarely venture down the high street anymore, well I don't and it has almost become a thing of the past. For a long time now I have been shopping with Littlewoods! Are any of you familiar with this company? Well, you can shop online at their website or you can have a home catalogue and order from the catalogue, I do both. I like the fact that you can have items delivered to your door with no hassle. I have been buying my clothes this way for a long time now and there's one very important thing that I like about ordering from littlewoods and that is, you can pay weekly if you like in installments as opposed to paying for the item all at once. With things being as difficult as they are I like this option. So, do you order from a home catalogue like littlewoods? Andrew

Hi Andrew, that would be a no but for several reasons. We don't have them out here, if these catalogues were available to me they wouldn't deliver over here 99 times out of a hundred and on the 1% chance they did the postage would break the bank. But of course the real reason would be one couldn't try them on first, and don't tell me I could send them back as you can imagine the hassle from over here, even when you stick a postage free label on they don't understand and charge anyway.
It's easier for you men, sizes stay the same as no one wants to make you feel good by suddenly deciding that being a size 10 isn't good enough in case it makes you feel fat so all of a sudden you are relabelled a size 8 and the size ten you order is now too big.

Hi thea, well that makes perfect sense. I don't like walking around the high street anymore. I think the catalogue method is so easy for me and they have been prompt with their deliveries so far, normally two to three days later. They give you so much credit that you can use if you want to but I make sure that I don't use this as I don't want to start facing financial problems and so forth. I just buy one item at a time and make sure that I pay it off first before ordering anything else. It's a great way to shop for those who cannot afford to pay for an item outright. Andrew

I have never heard of that home catalog myself. I have ordered from a Catalog called SevethAvenue they have some real nice stuff. In the US another popular at home catalog is Fingerhut. I know that ordering from home is a lot easier than going to the store to buy something to be honest. I personally like ordering online but have had a few problems say for example I ordeder a shirt for my oldest daughter and when I got it the shirt was way to big for her but it fit me so that was okay. Otherwise I would have been out 10$. For me I also like to shop online because I can order from places that are no where near close to me which gives me more of a variety in terms of style and stuff. Nice topic here and happy mylotting to you as well.

I don't know if it's just in the UK or truly global, they are a pretty big company anyhow. They have all the latest brands and I'm really pleased with the service that I have received thus far. I'm just going to pay off my present item before I order anything else with them. I like the electrics section that they have! I can have an ipod or something immediately and I can then pay it off in installments, a very good idea. Here's to home shopping! Andrew

I do not know if its available in our are. But in my case, in so far as clothes are concerned, I go directly to the mall and fit the clothes before I buy. I like it better that way since I can fit the clothes first and see if it looks good for me before I buy them. Well, I am not really into fancy ones just the casual.

There is the thing about being able to try something on before you buy it. This option is also available when you order out of the catalogue. The product is delivered to your door and you see if it is right for you and if it isn't they come and collect the item and you can place another order for an alternative item or something. Generally I get the size right though and I'm pretty pleased with everything I have ordered thus far. Andrew

I like shopping through a catalogue mainly because I wear mostly dressess and most stores don't have many dresses anymore. The catalogue is called 'Old Pueblo Traders'. It's also known as 'Arizona Mail Order'
They have a lot of great selections and the prices are even better!
Another thing I like is that you can pay your orders off monthly and you're not penalized for only paying the minimun each month. I love it.

This is definitely the best way to shop in my view. There are so many lovely things in the catalogue and I get the sense that I want to keep on ordering but I have to remain grounded and only order what I need and can afford. Christmas will soon be here so I suppose I will be going through the catalogue once more. I don't like the idea of spending a lot of time down the high street whilst I look for a new set of clothes and things. Andrew

Yes i do most of the clothes shopping out of a catalogue as i find it alot easier than going to buy it as well as bring it all home.It costs as much to travel and park as it do to have home delivery.I think that sometimes the clothes are the same price as they are in a shop.

It's just a really enjoyable experience. I don't like the idea of spending a few hours walking slowly past shops looking for something I want. I can sit at the computer and virtually do everything that I need to do. Littlewoods have been around for a long time now and they are a really good company. I also like the fact that there is no delivery charge to deliver the items to your door. Andrew

Hi Andrew..Are you doing good today? I surely hope so.
I have never heard of littlewoods. I will have to check them out. I do lots of ordering from the online catalogues. I usually shop from Romans,JCPenney, and sometimes from Blair. I do like the convenice of be able to shop online rather than the stores all the time. I do plan on doing a lot of my christmas shoppping online this year..You have a nice day..

I'm unfamiliar with those names that you have mentioned but I'm sure they all do the same thing or offer the same service. Christmas is around the corner now so I guess it will be time to dig out that littlewoods catalogue once more. I tend not to buy too many things from the catalogue, I much prefer to order one item and then pay that off before ordering anything else, this helps to protect me from getting into any debt. Andrew

I do order catalogues and I shop online too with Littlewoods, i prefer to pay it off at once,it's easy and no hassle but i don't shop with them more often, coz it's little bit expensive, I usually waited if they go discount offers.
Happy myloting.

I do like the discounts that littlewoods seem to come up with from time to time. I'm still paying off for a fleece jacket at the moment but once I have paid that off I will go for something else, it's just so easy and that's what I like about this whole process! They are always updating their stock and they have all the latest fashion brands as well. Andrew
