Do you prefer to knit or crochet?  | |  There are tons of beautiful knitting patterns out there which can't be matched by crochet, especially for garments. I can do both, but somehow I prefer crochet as I find it easier to handle - a lot less worry about dropping stitches for one! However I have a friend who prefers knitting as she finds it extremely hard to maintain a constant yarn tension whenever she crochets. Which do you prefer? Knitting or crocheting?

It also helps that I can understand the patterns better now.

But I live in the southern part of India with a warm climate, so we don't need woollens any time, & it's difficult to knit in warm weather. I do crochet with fine thread. Once we learn that art, we'll love it. I have several pieces made from many years of hard work.

I find that crocheting goes much faster, so I do more projects in crochet. But, I love to knit. I always have something on my needles. While knitting takes longer for me, I don't mind the time. I find it relaxing and rewarding. I have never tried socks or mittens but have done a lot of sweaters.
