Come down to Florida. We have beautiful beaches along two coasts and communities to suit every taste. From central Florida down to the Keys, the weather is beautiful all winter long. There are also many things to do down here.

thanks, I will look into Florida and see what it will cost me. I did not consider florida because I though it might be expensive as everyone wants to be there in the winter.

There are a lot of deals out there, especially in this economic climate which has our tourism numbers down. Orbitz and Travelosity have packages but you can also find specials at individual resorts, hotels or motels. You'll want to check out different areas of the state, or plan to visit more than one location. Some vacation spots are large, with lots of entertainment available while others are smaller and more secluded. Here's a link to a bunch of information about our beaches: http://www.visitflorida.com/articles/best-beaches-for...

I'm not in Las Vegas, my sister is. I think it is not so cold there though they had snow last year. But, if it does you can always check the entertainment scene and the casinos. It must be a fun place. We are trying to save in order to visit my sister next Christmas. It would be convenient because now they have direct flights from Jacksonville to Las Vegas. Otherwise, Florida is nice in winter. It's a good time to visit the theme parks as well, not too hot and humid. From FL, you can also go to the Bahamas, Cuba, Belize and other Caribbean countries.

I'd definitely recommend Florida, hands down! We've been going most winters for years and even when the weather is "bad" by their standards it's beautiful to me and I live in Pa. which isn't quite a cold as where you are. I'd say where in Florida would depend on what you're hoping to do. I LOVE Orlando but when we go it's usually with our grandkids. However, my husband, my daughter, son-in-law and I enjoy it every bit as much as the kids do! There's a lot to do, it's not just Disney World. For a more quiet vacation the Tampa area is beautiful also. Let me know what you decide and have a great time wherever you go! Annie

thanks for the suggestion. I have been to Florida several times in the summer and do not like the humidity.

good places would be California, Florida, Caribbeans, Hawaii or the tropical countries like the Philippines. Im from the Philippines and its nice during december. Its still a little bit cold but its tolerable. We only experience the cold weather during the night time or if its gonna rain. I recommend going to Boracay or Bantayan or Cebu. Many islands around here will be a good choice if you want stay for a week or two and each cheaper compared to other countries.
