I know there is web MD for people, but is there anything for animals?

I use web MD for people all the time. I need a really good source for my two cats. Esp. Creamie who needs something instead of steriods for his upper respiratory system and something cheap I can get for one of his eyes. Is there a veterinary site that is like web MD for animals?

Wish I knew. Will follow your post to see if anyone knows of a help pet site. We have an aging dog who always has back problems. My husband took him to the vet about 10 days ago since he couldn't walk. His back end was trembling and we knew there was a problem. He was put on steriods and pain pills but it seems to bother his tummy. He is doing better since we took him off the pain pills and he is being weened from the steriods. Hopefully his tummy will be ok and can stop all the running in and out.

The steriods just make my cats drooel and act like zombies. I may have to do research and find out for myself because no one seems to know/have an answer for me.

Our dog drinks alot of water when he's on steriods. I would imagine long term use of steroids is not good since it's not good for humans. Sorry I can't help you with a pet doctor site.

Sorry I'm late!!! I'm here now!!! lol There is a website that is just like the WebMD...it's called WebVet! They have a lot of information on this site!!! You can search for something specifically--and if you can't find an answer, you can post your own questions and a vet will peronsally answer the question for you! :) Good luck with the kitty!!! It's very nice of you to take care of it I'm glad I could help!!!

I looked around yesterday, and it did have lots of general information. Guess I will have to ask specifically or renew my search for a holistic healer here. Someone did say that one Vet here is into some nature healing stuff. Now I need to make more money to be able to afford to go see her.
