Well Susan Atkins has died of a brain tumor the 25th, but im just now hearing about it anyway, i heard that she was refused parole by the parole board to go home and die. but still, lets get real here. i dont think they should let the rest of Manson family out but hey, this gal was no threat to society and was dying. i cant figure why they would not let her die at home. Iam not saying there was anything good about this woman or the horrible things she did. Im saying for God's forgiveness of us, why could we not show mercy? we usually use forgiveness for our own sakes, not the person we are forgiveing. its for our soul cleansing, not theirs. Do you think they should have let her die at home?

I read your other responses and it seems that no one is feeling sorry for her. They are right that she showed no mercy to her victims and deserved to be in prison. but I also feel the way you do to a certain point. Its sad when someones life ends up like hers. May she finally have peace.

Hi bunnybon7, She did a terrible crime and showed no mercy to her victims, I could never forgive, maybe that is God's job but not mine, could you have forgive her if its one of you child or anyone of your family member that was killed? she should die in jail. Tamara

I understand what you mean and i certainly dont know if i could if it was my child. I have a tendency to not forgive easily if its my child. thank God i've never had that position. yes, they should not be let out, but im not even sure this woman knew where she was at this point. she did die in jail, but i dont know if it gave any relief to her victims family.

I know it has been years since she helped kill all those poor innocent people but when they were dying did she show them mercy? Did she show Sharon Tate mercy when Sharon pleaded for the innocent life of her baby? I'm sure people have forgiven her but as far as letting her out. No way. Even if she was dying she still needed to finish her time in jail. If she had been sentenced to die she would not be allowed to go home and see her family, so this was her sentence. she must live with it. My saying is what you sow, so shall you reap. At least now she wont have to suffer in jail and who knows maybe she will get to meet Sharon Tate and the innocent child she killed.

i really hope she does. i do know God forgives and pardons but i have no idea if she ever even asked him. the whole thing is just so terribley sad and sick even after all these years.

hi bunnybon I may seem coldhearted but I do believe in the saying from an old cop show, if you can't do the time, then don't do the crime. She was up to her ears in the crime with the Manson family and she does not deserve any more'mercy. God may forgive her but what about the victims? who spoke' for them?

hi sweetie, im sure Jesus spoke for them. i realise this was quite horrible things she did. But they did say she was carried into the parole hearing on a gurney and was barely lucid through it all. so why have her die inside? i still dont see the point. I hear Sharon Tates sister was there also and spoke against her being released. i can only say that if she could not forgive then that just hurts her and not Susan. at this point the woman(Susan) didnt even know where she was likely.
