Some Good things never last...awww

I was humming the tune of this song while I was making coffee. Then I sat down infront of my computer, tinkered with some files, and visited myLot....and in the process also took few sips of my coffee from time to time. Like most people, I wanted my coffee to remain warm for a longer period of time but it was disappointing that at my pace, my coffee eventually had to turn cold. I know of some warming cups/mugs that keep the liquid in it warm but since I don't have that, well, some good things just don't really last. So my questions are.....do you like your coffee black/dark? with or without creamer? decaf? 3 in one? with or without some mushrooms like ganoderm or agaricus or Alice in wonderland mushrooms, ginseng, or chamomile, or L-carnitine, or whatever it is they add into it? mocha? espresso? Well, okay, you may choose to answer my post in whichever way you want. Good luck though!

I usually make a pot of coffee in the morning, and work on it all day. I'm used to coffee getting cold, so it doesn't really bother me too much. I like blends that have a little chicory in it, adds a nice nutty flavor, but other flavors would probably drive me crazy. Isn't it funny that I like tea with all sorts of flavors, but not coffee? I like nothing but a bit of sugar and milk/cream in it. Although there are days when some Alice in Wonderland mushrooms would probably be a good addition...lol.

Magic mushrooms? Mmmmm....I hope they make me shed off a pound every 10 seconds! I would definitely mix it in virtually everything! Coffee with garlic powder, anyone?

A pound every 10 seconds? LOL...I can see a future for those. Imagine nibbling on some at one of those restaurants that make you wait almost forever? They'd probably feed you for free, just so you don't waste completely away before their patrons eyes from lack of food.

I like my coffee black and hot, but can also enjoy it in a glass of cold milk or even in a stew where it makes a great gravy and tenderizes the meat.

It also gives it a good rich color. I put about one cup of strong coffee in the stew in the slow cooker at the start, in the end you will not taste the coffee the liquid will just be richer. Enjoy

A good tenderizer? Wow, that's a nice idea. I didn't know that gravy has coffee in it or that coffee can be added to gravy...whichever is correct.

even using sugar free sweeteners, I load up so much cream that coffee isn't that low call so I haven't had any since I started the diet or for a normal cup - 6-8 oz... 4 packets, 4 creams

I don't really like the dry creamers, I prefer fresh milk or half and half - actually like the milk better, well get right down to it, I like CHOCOLATE milk best

Oh i heard creamers can be dangerous considering the amount of fat that you get from them. I guess it would help if you'd really cut down.

I like my coffee with cream and sugar. I also have the problem of it staying warm. But i dont really care because i like it whatever temp it is. One good way to keep it warm is those stainless steal mugs with lids. Or just drink from a small cup. You can always zap it in the microwave.

So that is my problem, I don't have a microwave oven! :-( But your suggestion on choosing the one with a lid might help. Thanks

I wasnt thinking when i bought the persent coffee maker i have. I doesnt even hold 2- 16oz. mugs. I wish it did that at least. When i make a pot. After the first pot is brewed. I pour a cup the Add cream and sugar. More 8oz. water to the maker and brew the rest. Then turn it off. I have noticed leaving it on it evaporates. I either drink it as is or like i said before warm each cup. It may take me all day to drink the full 2- 16oz. But you dont have a microwave. I have found that a small stainless steal thermo or thermo mug. The stainless steal is little more expensive but it works better. Last longer. I have never tried any of the cup warmers. Have you ever drank cold coffee? I like it that way too. I have a snowcone maker. Sometimes i perpare the ice and pour the cold coffee on it. Good for hot weather.

When I drink coffee in the morning I only put cream in it. I used to put sugar in it but sometimes I would run out of sugar and after a while I got used to just drinking it with cream.

Although coffee and cream tastes much better with sugar, Sometimes I don't really mind if there's none. The cream kind of gives it a certain taste that can make you do without sugar.

I drink my coffee black, no sugar and no cream. However, for some reason I have to drink my Tea with sugar. I have always thought that to be odd. Also, every once in awhile, I like to put flavored liquors in my coffee (like Bailey's creme).
