Darn it! You had to go and say not food related. . There goes my idea anyway. I was going to say a George Foreman Grill. Do they drink wine? How about a couple of nice wind glasses and bittle of wine?

How about a gift card to a movie they would both enjoy or something in that order. That way they could pick out something they both like. Have a great weekend.

I have been thinking of couple gifts also and will share what I have thought about for the people I know.

Travel magazines. There are several magazines that about my state and the points of interest within and I have decided to give a subscription as a gift to some friends who love to travel but have to do so on a budget.

If they live close to a theatre you could purchase tickets or a gift card from the theatre for them to have a nice date night, or movie thatre gift certificates.

I will be buying on couple some fishing tackle because they love to go fishing together and with their kids.

I will be buying camping gear this year for a sister because her family spends their weekends in a tent camping.

If they are not the type to do a bunch of things together then you could buy a cute little container and fill it with small gifts for the family such as candels, dominoes, and a deck of cards.

What do you think about a foot messager? That would be so dreamy!

Tickets to a show? Restaurant gift certificate? Well I guess that's food related. lol Christmas decoration? Gift giving guide? Just kidding about the last one...

You sound a LOT like me, I hate giving gift cards as it is not only a cop out, but they know how much that you spent on the gift in the first place.

One of my favorite gifts to receive is a magazine subscription. It is a monthly reminder that someone cared enough about me to find out what magazine I might enjoy and subscribe to it for me.

Another idea would be a nice warm blanket. It would be a nice gift for either one of them to use. Another thought is, even though you don't care much for the husband, is to research the Muslim religion and see what they revere in their religion.

Buying tickets for a show is really very nebulous as there are many shows that are offensive to people of the Muslim faith. The same thing with many foods and alcoholic beverages as Muslims do NOT drink alcoholic beverages. Another thought would be a wreath for their front door; or like I have done for a neighbor I went to our Michael's craft store and bought her a house for her town set up. The houses are lit and are absolutely darling. If you can get the 40% off coupon it takes the price down to a very reasonable level.

I tend to lean towards the magazine subscription. I received a subscription for Readers Digest and thoroughly enjoyed each issue through the year.

Oh, a basket with next year's calendar, small samples of new products, scented candles, nuts and a nut cracker...a gift basket is so much fun for the person who is making it up and the person who receives it.

I could probably come up with more ideas, but I just took a couple of pain pills (I fractured my L1 disc in my back last Tuesday and am really hurting from it) and my brain just isn't kicking into gear. There is something cool that is kicking around in the cob web filled vacancy that is called my brain but getting the idea to the forefront is a different matter.
