Are the politicians tying the hands of US Troops?

In a recent AP report http://news.yahoo.com/s/a... it was reported that a remote outpost was attacked and 8 US Soldiers were killed. "A NATO statement said the attacks were launched from a mosque and a nearby village..." when this is coupled with a report earlier that the new rules of engagement do not allow the US Troops to use Air attacks or artillery when Civilians are in potential danger. The enemy is using these rules to their advantage because it tilts the playing field in their favor. They can hide among the civilians and attack the US Troops who then have difficulty fighting back. Remember the Marine patrol that was ambushed and later charged with Murder (All Capital Charges have been dropped). The enemy with the help of the liberal US Media have convinced the American people and the rest of the world that we are targeting civilians. Isn't it time to tell the military What we want to achieve and let them do what they are best at - Fighting the enemy.
