Do you hate your job? |
|
Hi mylotters! I heard so many people complaining about their jobs. They keep on telling their friends and family that if it is only not needed and if they have a choice they will surely quit their jobs. Do you find yourself in that same boat? Or do you feel the same about that, somehow and sometime in your life?
In my personal opinion, I think rather than complaining we should think that God put us in that job for a reason. Maybe that job is our stepping stone and just a preparation for a better opportunity. We must just get something and learn from everything that we are doing.
My first job? I hate it; I find it boring and felt that it was making me really sick. The repetitive assignments is really annoying me. Every morning I was like pulling my toes hard to report to my work. But soon I realize that it is not bad at all because I learned a lot from it. And now I am applying the things I learned from it even at home.

But, then again, I have seen some people who really appreciate their jobs. I have been in that position before. I had a really good job, and I would constantly be telling people that I worked for a good company, and that I was glad that I worked for them.
I no longer had that job, and sometimes wonder if there was anything that I could have done different. Then again, the company was downsizing, so there wasn't really anything that I could have done. It was just a matter of corporate issues I suppose. I was just working at a single store, so the decisions were well beyond my level of decision making.

Sorry, I didnt want to make you shameful at all. i was just pointing out that everything is relative and, though I have to deal with the nastiness of that place, overall the work isnt too strenuous. I actually am a plant operator so much of my job is technical, even though i do leave there everyday covered in filth:o). Just sharing my job with those who want to listen!

2. highflyingxangel (9033) | 3 months ago | I don't hate my job. I actually like my job a lot. I have normal complaints about my job of course. We do have some issues at work like everyone does. People always have some sort of complaint about their place of work but I don't mind getting up and going to work each day. I don't dread walking through the doors.
At my last place of employment, I worked part time until I could finish with my schooling. I only worked 3 hours a day and I hated it so much. I dreaded walking in those doors but I needed the job to get me through the summer until I could find a better job somewhere else. I always went in as late as I could and left as soon as I could. It wasn't the best place to work and I'm very glad I quit and found a better job!

lovelyn_medrano (809) | 3 months ago | Well yes, sometimes we feel that we are being abused. We work beyond the scope of our responsibilities. We cannot complain because the big boss is the one asking that from us. I believe the reason behind that is either the boss is just cutting cost and would not want to hire a new employee or he just truly trusted our work. I always like to think the second one more as a reason. I set my mind that way everytime I was ask to do again task that I don't think is my work anymore.
What I really dislike about completing the additional task are as follows:
1. I never got any additional benefits from it. 2. I got stress out because I need to meet deadlines 3. I need to render overtime again 4. Workloads are to many to handle which makes it really hard.

5. angelajoy (989) | 3 months ago | I don't hate my job. In fact, I really like it. I'm where I want to be. I feel sorry for people who have not yet found the right place for them. And even if I have to quit my job one day, I would not regret working there. I've learned a lot from the company and I'm sure I could use that knowledge for other jobs that I would do.

HelloMickey (1096) | 3 months ago | You have a very positive working attitude, I run my own company now and really enjoy my career. When I was younger I also worked happily in the company and always thought that I learnt from there, so I am quite happy to hear the same saying from others. Good luck and hope you have a happy life.

6. getbrowser (1422) | 3 months ago | I am hating my job too.
As a member of people who complain their jobs, I have benn tired of my job and have no passion to keep doing it any more. But on the other hand, I have to tolerant of if for it is difficult to find a better job in our country, China, which has a large of population and full of competitions.
I may choose to work at home if I have a chance to make a choice in the future. For example, I like making money online freely and enjoy the time with friends online.

lovelyn_medrano (809) | 3 months ago | There are really people who settle to work in a company that they dislike because of financial factor. They feel like they don't have a choice because there is no other job available for them. The fact is, they are luckier because some people even if they have diplomas don't have jobs. It is better to make the most of our time and learn from it rather than staying depressed and frustrated all the time.

7. almightyonline (241) | 3 months ago | I'm not into a job still other than mylotting! I'm currently a student. But seeing this discussion i felt like responding to this as i hate what I'm learning now. I just can't go with the syllabus of this course. The main reason behind hating them is that i hate learning useless theory subjects. I'm looking forward to getting into an computer animation course and find a job from that.

|
lovelyn_medrano (809) | 3 months ago | When I was still studying, I really cannot see the importance of learning some of the subjects. I feel bored knowing that I am not going to use that to the jobs that I will be in in the future. I see it useless and waste of time.
I do like my course, but those mathematical angles, trigometry... gosh! I hate it. There is no way I am gonna use it in my line of work. Not my interest at all.

lovelyn_medrano (809) | 3 months ago | I guess it is a normal nature of people to complain and complain about their work. We only see sometimes the bad things that we dislike and ignore the benefits that we get from our work. For every work, we learn new things and we can always make use of that.

| 9. tulipyujinxiang (2) | 3 months ago | I am a wedding designer which use flowers as the theme, I have done it nearlu one year, I like this job, because I love flowers, I believe that most girls can not rejece it.
However, in doing for a period of time, I quit the job resolutely. Many people have asked me why, I don't know how to answered, I don't want the job made me lose interest in and love of flowers. The love of my job does not allow me to continue this job, because many other reasons, the job itself is not interested. Interest, once they come to the job, doed not necessarily make you like it, so if you hate this job, please do not leave it easily.

|
lovelyn_medrano (809) | 3 months ago | If we really do things routinely, time will really come that we will lose our interest no matter how overwhelming our desire at first. It is because we do things automatically, every thing is given, every thing is scripted. We lose our excitement and passion. Routine jobs limit our ability to grow. It drains your brain. Try to do new things once in a while, apply some twist and turns.
Good luck to you and happy mylotting!
