I too have very often tried to cook some of the goodies shown on television. Not all of them turn out very good as it looks on the small screen. I am sure your cookies must be very tasty and hope I get to taste some of them!!!
Wish you and all at home a Very Happy Diwali!

Hi Kala,
I love watching cookery shows and an avid follower of them. I love trying out new recipes though I cant try the ones which involve baking as I don’t have an OTG at home. I’ve been thinking of buying one for quite sometime but don’t know really if I can actually make good use of it or its only as good as they show in the pictures!

I made it in my microwave oven [the convection mode sudipta].THe picture is in the other discussion .This is a very easy preparation too and in this hot sun we need not toil before a hot stove.Your children would adore it.If you have a microwave oven then you can try it [convection mode].

Wow!! This is lovely! But, I couldn't find the photo anywhere! My mom is an avid watcher of all kinds of cuisine shows. Even I love watching them. But the difference is I watch and fantasize and my mom helps me to taste those. She tries the dishes and some really works out to be very good. We archive the recipe.
Coconut cookies sound lovely! Only recently I tasted coconut cookies with raisins. I am sure yours was as good!

Mimpi! it is just coconut and sugar mixed and heated.Of course then on top I decorated it with sliced nuts.My son said that chocolate might not go with the taste.I thought I can add scraped choloate too on top but he was not keen on that.I just sent out the recipe to sudipta.Tell me if your mother wants it and I shall post it in your forum or as a pm.

I sure do.^_^ As long as they dont require any baking though.LOL Im more fond of doing those quick and easy refrigerated desserts. Im too afraid that my experiments would burn the house down if I ever did try to bake something in the oven.
I do wish to get enough confidence to bake my very own cake, or just even brownies.^_^
Those coconut cookies must have been delicious. Wish we could have gotten a bit of a taste.

Besides the cooking book, I also like to learn the new recipes from TV. It is easier to understand and the dishes are always attractive for me. It is nice that you made the coconut cookies at home. In the past I also made some cookies and they also tasted well. I am sure the coconut flavored cookies are delicious.
I love China

Oh, yummers. The next best thing to a coconut cookie is a photo of yours :-)
I have never made a recipe from a TV demonstration. When we have something really good at a restaurant, though, sometimes I will try to make it the same at home. Sometimes this is successful and sometimes not!
