How to Improve Your Relationship with the Boss?

I usually don't go out of the way to please my boss. But I think it is important that you make the boss notice who you are and what you have achieved for him. He will appreciate you more.

Also, if the relationship is good enough, you can call your boss over for dinner at home or restaurant...

This advice is probably good for the subordinate, but most bosses would not be encouraged to get too familar with their staff.

The best way I think is improving your work peformance, every boss will want his/her followers can try their best to work for him/her, so if your work can be well done always, your boss will turst you more and of course you will have a better relationship with your boss...

anthoer point, if you have better personal relationship in privacy with your boss, maybe it's not good for you to improve youselves...but i not sure for this point, just for my imagination, this also will differ with different persons...good luck.

I'm still in college but I did experience working a while back. I agree with you that having a good relationship with your boss will really lighten up the stress in your workplace. Me, I don't try to please my boss I just try to do good in my work because it is what I'm being paid for. If my boss likes me it's good but if doesn't like me then I don't mind just as long I'm not doing anything wrong that would greatly affect my job.

If you want the easiest way then make him or her the God Father/Mother of your next child (LOL). Really, it would mean something.But thats the wrong side. The right side is simply give your best to ever task he/she assigned to you. Being friendly to your boss seems make a lot too. But make sure to know where you are standing, colleagues see you too close to him/her will have a negative impact on your personality.

I am not the right person to give you tips and tricks about imprssing your boss. The only possible way I can tell you is hard work and timely response. That is how I work with my boss. I have seen many people impressing their boss by flattery. I mean just by saying 'you look good in this dress' or 'this hair cuts suits you well', etc. stuff. I hate flattery and I am sure that I can never do that to anyone.

i worked in a hospital before i got married.

it was a very good experience for me.

it is very very essential to build rapport with your boss.

i think we should be punctual at work.

we should be perfect and finish our work task within time limit.

we should respect our coworkers.

we should not allow any personal work interfering in our work.

i think these are the major point we should follow.

we dont need to meet our boss often for our work.

if we do our duty well it will come to his view automatically.

It does depend on who your boss is! I’ve had bosses that are not only unpleasant but impossible to please! My last boss was actually a work mate who received a promotion and I got along with him quite well and certainly having a good rapport with the boss makes your working life easier and less stressful; unfortunately it is not always possible. My husband is having issues with his boss at the moment because he is demanding the impossible and will not listen to reason.

I think that it is pertinent to have a good relations with you boss at work place. One needs to be submissive and be attentive to listen to commands and requests of one's boss. Boss should never be undermined or disrespected. One should accept the fact that the Boss is better qualified and experienced than him, that is why he is the boss and he be respected. We should have cordial relations with your boss and we should always listen to him/her and should not displease her/him, without any substantial reasons. If one wins the heart of his Boss, he would be in his good books and will be benefited in the long run.

i think an intelligent and wise boss are not like flattering. to be close and make a good relation with a boss you need to care and sincere on your office duty first. by your sincere and satisfactory work, you may get attention and comes close to your boss. he may like you.but if you treat it's like a friendship as like as office mate, college friend,personal friend, it will not good may be.always need to remember, boss like you by your official activities, sincerity and performance. you must keeping respect to him. off course its a important part, if your boss like you and you able build a good relationship, boss may increase your increment and other facility, which are improve your living quality.
