I thought this was an interresting idea when Ron Howard announced his children had unique names because they were named after where they were concieved.
So, my question is, if you named YOUR children after where they were concieved, what would their names be? Ex: we have a friend who's daughter is named Paris! They went there JUST to get pregnant! It worked!
Let the wild rumpus of naming start!!

hi rosepedal64 well my son would have to have been named
pine forest and my daughter would have to have been
Easy Chair. he he but that was where she was conceived.
Glad I did not do that as I think Robbie and Lisa Rose
sound much better. this is fun thanks for making me grin.

Well, this is quite a funny question. How if the place doesn't have a nice name? Then the children would have some funny names?
My husband and I went to a place called Cameron Highlands after we got married, if following the idea, then my son would have been named Cameron.

hi bearballew well my first child would have been named Pine tree because he was conceived in a forest under a pine tree, and I think he would have hated that name. My second child was conceived in Tempe Arizona so Tempe would have been her
name. I actually named her Lisa Rose though.

I love this topic! I live in a suburb called Ballajura and my daughter was conceived at home so unless I called her ‘bed’ or ‘master bedroom’ Ballajura would have to be it. I am glad I didn’t come up with this idea when I fell pregnant otherwise I would have a very angry little girl called Ballajura, poor child!

You could have called her Balla ... it's almost like Bella!
'Course, if you had read this BEFORE yougot pregnant, it might make the "getting pregnant" process more interresting in order to come up with a great name for a Baby!!
LOL!!!

I would definately be a little more creative if there was some social reason to name kids after where they were concieved!! Mountain Stream ... City Park ...

What a unique and wonderful idea. My children were conceived in the same place geographically, so I'd have to be a bit creative and expand on the geography beyond my city, so their names would be: Michigan, America, and Barry.1 person likes this

Well I couldnt name them both the town they were conceived in because they would have the same name. But I could name them after where in my house they were conceived. My daughter would be named bed and my son would be named couch lol. I remember people saying something about my husband and I not sleeping in the same bed and they said well you had to have slept in the same bed at least once because you have your son and I said yes but he wasent created in the bed lol.

JenInTn, haystack really made me laugh. It reminded me of my grandparents farm. I can hear it now: "Hey, Haystack!" You probably could have gotten away with Lake.@Bearballew (1148)

Haystack!! That's awesome! We could have come up with some interresting names had we gotten pregnant on some of our outdoorsey adventures!! LOL!
I agree that Lake is a decent enough name. Will you ever tell your kids where they were concieved?! :*( )

This is a great topic, haha - I don't have any kids of my own yet, so I can't chime in, but I must say, some of your names/places are very adventurous!
