My Nokia 3210 is almost 10 years old |
|
I have changed many cellphones already since the cellphone technology started being marketed. I have traded many of my cellphones for upgrading purposes. Others were given to my sisters or cousins. But there is one cellphone which I kept, it's the NOKIA 3210. For some sentimental reasons, I kept that cellphone with me and it's still in its perfect working condition.
Do you keep your old cellphones?

1. Redhornet117 (668) | 1 month ago | I still have an old 1100 and it still works. It has a lot of battle scars and mojos but its still as sturdy as it was brand new. Battery life lasts for three to four days, beat that smartphone users, LOL

3. jessi0887 (2507) | 1 month ago | Nokia makes good phones. I too have always kind of wanted to stick to their brands because they last long or more reliable. We had a few around the house but lost the chargers. And they have gotten way older then ten years.

dorisday1971 (1990) | 1 month ago | Yeah, Nokia units are durable. However, the Nokia phones gets outmoded fast since there are many newer versions being manufactured in just a few months.

4. coffeeshot (2479) | 1 month ago | No I don't keep my old phones because the only time I get a new phone is when my current one breaks. I must say though, the old black and white Nokia that I had for years was my best phone. I even fell into a pool with it and after I dried it out in the sun the next day it still worked perfectly for about another six months! I think when the phone I have now finally dies I will find an old Nokia on Ebay for my new phone!

dorisday1971 (1990) | 1 month ago | You are like my sister who never buys a new cellphone not until when the older one breaks or malfunctions.
In my case, when there are newer cellphones which I can afford half its price, i trade my old one and get the newer one. I just pay half or less than half of the price of the new phone.

5. xfahctor (5115) | 1 month ago | I still have my first cell phone, got it 4 years ago actually, it is also a Nokia, I think its the 2735 (maybe?) I almost never carry it with me and almost never use it. I hate cell phones...in fact, I hate phones period, but they are a nessesary evil. Anyway, it's just a simple phone, I can make calls, send texts, play a couple cheesy games (though I never play the games) and it has a nifty little flashlight. I have some minutes on it from a while ago and it doesn't need to be reactivated until 2023, lol. I will probably keep it untill it falls apart, I see no need to get anything fancier.

dorisday1971 (1990) | 1 month ago | Oh I have given aways some of my cellphones but since all of my cousins, nieces and nephews do have their own cellphones, I opted for trading in or swapping my old for a new one.

7. boybato (437) | 1 month ago | I wish I had but unfortunately I really haven't. My first cellular phone was a Nokia 3310 and it was lost while I was renting a room during my summer classes way back in 2002. The next phone I used was a very old Motorola unit which my mother lent me. Though we no longer use such phone, my mom still kept it in the cabinet. After which, I had three different Samsung phones. I only have one phone left with me which is a Samsung phone which I brought about a year ago.

boybato (437) | 1 month ago | Yeah. For two reasons. First, I noticed that a lot (in fact most) of the people here in the Philippines are using Nokia phones so I just don't want to blend in, I wanted to switch to a different brand. I used Motorola at first before finally liking Samsung. Second is that, because of how common Nokia is, it is very prone to viruses. I'm not really sure if all phones have the same operating system or program irregardless of brand but my aunt have told me that Nokia phones are badly hit by some virus (that was about 3 years ago). I'm not really sure if she's right or wrong but since then I decided to use Samsung. Samsung is actually a good brand.
