How often you forget doing things that you have to do???

Hi kiki!
It sometimes happens with me too that I forget to keep my wallet with me and I aske my colleagues to help, when I reach office. However, I try to remain careful and check all my essential belongings, before I leave my home. One fine day, my better half forgot to pack my lunch and when I opened my lunch box in the afternoon, it was empty. I was shell shocked and had to contend with Canteen food. Forgetting things is part of our life.

Oh yes..I think that I am the forgetful queen. If I don't write things down I will forget. I made out my grocery list and the list of household things that I needed this past weekend. I got to the store and went to get my list and didn't have it. It was laying on the table with pen that I was writing with. .LOL..Well I didn't get everything on the list...LOL..Im blaming mine on hormones. .LOL..Have a great day and I hope that you don't forget that you started this discussion.. .LOL..Keep smiling..

I do things like this all the time. Taking the movies back is the worst! I usually go to take the movies back to the movie store but get side tracked and have to go to the grocery store along the way, and for safety of the video, I will stick it in the glove box, only to find it later and have late charges on it. I have also done this will bills. I have the money and the bills ready to go. I grab my purse and drive to where I have to pay the bill only to remember that I left it on the desk at home. I am only 31 and I feel that I am losing my mind some days. Hope you get better at remembering!

I always tend to forget small things... I always say that I have a short term memory... somewhat like in the movie 50 first dates.

I think I sometimes have a habit of forgetting things unles it's so important. I wish I could find a cure for that soon. I think forgetting things a little are among most of us, but still it's always good to have a better memory power.

Even i keep forgetting to carry purse and at some times i even forget to carry my cellphone also. But now before leaving my home i check it twice tat i have carried everything.

DEFINITELY! I actually did the same thing. I went to Cub Foods (a 24 grocery store) before my early-morning shift at my job, and ended up leaving my check card at the register! The cashier girl ended up running it out to me and giving it back. I was SO thankful. I guess I was out of it.. I mean, it WAS 4 am! Ha. . I usually don't forget things like THAT, though. I usually just forget plans that I made and things I have to do. I'll get to school, thinking nothing was due..And realize that there was a quiz I was supposed to study for. Or that I was supposed to read 10 chapters. I seriously try to write EVERYTHING down in my school planner to keep track of it all..But I forget to do THAT sometimes! LOL!

I have a list on my iPod Touch so that I can remember all of my little tasks. I have a pretty bad memory so, unless it is something I do every day, if I think about something that I need to do, I need to make a note of it right away if I can't get started on it right then because otherwise I will likely forget about it.

So, my suggestion is, if your cell phone or music player has something where you can make lists, use that. Some cell phones will have a voice recorder which you can use to make a quick little voice memo to yourself. I use the one one my cell phone for that reason too. Usually when I am driving, if I see something I want to remember to tell someone about, or I think of something I need to do later, I can just press the recorder button on my phone and make a message for myself so I can replay it later and remind myself of what it is that I wanted to do later.

I have these experience everyday. I have been searching for my mobile keeping it in jean pocket. I have been searching for my bike key all over my house by holding them in my hand. I am memory loss person who doenst even remember what i had for break fast. But on top all these i remember only one thing in my life that is my birthday because that is the day where my savings disappears in a jiffy in the name of Party and birthday treat...

All the time in the past!. I then decided to try something new and so I bought a notepad! I now keep to do lists and I write down everything that comes into my mind. I don't forget anything now and that notepad is a real blessing in my life. After I have done what I have to do I just tick it off and I then move onto the next item on the list. This technique isn't for everyone but it certainly works for me. I think that the computer plays a big part too. You can create to do lists on the computer and I really like this idea. Andrew
