Monty Pyhon

I'm watching Monty Python right now. IFC is having a Python-athon :) I think everyone loves the Parrot sketch. There is actually a special that has been shown on BBC that is a collection of various sketches and it's called "Parrot Sketch Not Included." I've seen three or four different versions. In my favorite one, John Cleese is about to give himself a stroke screaming about the parrot and then they go into the slug bit ("I've got a slug." "Does it talk?" "Well, no." "Then it's not a bloody replacement, is it?") and end the whole thing in the classic "This has gotten terribly out of control" manner of one asking the other, "Would you like to come home with me?" and the other answering, "I thought you'd never ask." The Spam song is another of my favorites and the Ministry of Silly Walks. I think the Holy Grail was the best movie.

My number one favorite: a person purchases a five-minute discussion. The only thing the character played by John Cleese does, is contradict the guy (sorry, I don't remember the name of the actor)

OMG YA!! LOL I actually grew up on things like Monty Python, Dave Allen at Large, Benny Hill etc etc..I love all that stuff....LOL I was just singing the lumberjack song to my kids the other day while they were takin turns chopping wood LOL...My fav movie of course would have to be Holy Grail...and as far as skits go..omg I've seen ALL the Flying Circus so to pick one or even 4 or 5 would be just too damn hard for me LOL

It's strange you started this discussion. I saw Monty Python the other day for the first time in years. They were really famous in the 70's and 80's, and at least here in the United States, you just don't see them much anymore. I think they were a talented group of guys but I was just saying I don't see them around much and was wondering what they were up to.

Omg! Monty Python- so awesome! My favorite sketch is the Spam sketch.. some twisted minds them guys- Love them. hehe
