the drinkable water is getting less day by day. due to our massive pollution creating urbanization as well as the industrialization is causing this. besides, the global temparature is increasing the sea level more up. thereby also the the world is loosing the drinkable water.
Dont you mark the business of mineral water or pet bottled waters all arround?
where we all are heading?
is the next world war will for water?

I have read in my books and heard from people too that there are good chances of the third world war which will occur due to water. Since there are only 1% drinkable water in the world , people can resist over little and may fight for it.

I was just commenting the other day that we need scientists figure out how to desalinate ocean water because water is going to be a valuable resource in the years to come. I think that water will become like oil and gold. People will have to prospect for it. Also drought do to global warming is going to be a big issue in years to come.

You are very correct. Though i am not very sure, but heard that processing ocean water to normal drinkable water is not yet cost effective. thats why the matter is still in research phase.
Scientists are more prone to make war gazzettes. because they know that they will not be hampered for this water crisis. It is only the poor states and poors will be sufferer.

Yes our fresh water supply is not self replensishing and most people don't realize it or care. I could see where a war could and would be started over it. We try to recycle around here. I try not to buy anything in plastic bottles but if we do buy them I try to recycle them in some sort of fashion. Juice bottles get recycled to hold water and we don't buy soda's in bottles, we buy them in aluminum cans to recycle and get $ from. Of course there are times when we have to buy plastic products and when we do I try to get them to the recycling areas so that they do not clog up the landfills. I wish more individuals would be interested in recycling and saving our planet.

This is what Doctor Oz was talking about today on his show. There is a town somewhere that people are getting really sick and dying because of the water. The Moms are trying to get drinkable water for their area. Its is suppose to happen within 2 years. However they have to deal with knowing their kids are bathing in contaminated water. I can't believe in America we have a problem with the water in 2009.
