There will always be critics and some people who might not appreciate or even misunderstand what you are implying. Since some of us don't really use the English language as our first language, we tend to have troubles sometimes with the words we use which brings about insult or offense to other people.
I did open a topic before which was eventually deleted since I requested it be deleted. hehe..
I did regret it but what's done is done.
Do you ever regret posting something here? What did you do about it?

I have regretted some discussions I have made that were more of an impulse, I've even some of these discussions come up when people respond to them. I do end up commenting back to these people, but it hurts me to do so as I would rather have it buried, as well I do sometimes.

Yeah, there are discussions that are too sad to think about and all the more sadder when people keep on reminding me about it on the notifications of mylot. I do feel the same. But there are just those discussions when people start becoming rude and would grind you to bits if they had their way.
This is the reason why I had to write the admin for one topic that I needed to get away from. Thankfully they understood and gave me my request.
Thanks for the thoughts, have a great mylot experience ahead!

Hi laydee.
Well, of course sometime some of us here doesn't really fluent in English moreover in writing.
Like me, I also not very good in English.
But, what I like about mylot is I can improve my writing and communication in English here.
Even its not very good enough, I satisfied with what I learn here.
Before this its hard for me to write even a single word in English.
But here I learn slowly how to improve my skills in writing.
Regards.

Yes, this is really a good place to start writing and improve the communication skills through writing. However, since there are rules in Mylot that keeps us from helping people improve their English grammar (we're not allowed to point-out to people their mistakes for words or word use) then I don't think it's the best area. But yeah, it is at least a venue for us to improve. I guess we could help ourselves more by installing spell-checkers and grammar-checkers. hehehehe..
I hope you stay and improve more and more, just don't quit. Have a great mylot experience ahead, thank you for your post!

I stand behind all my discussions. However, I did regret posting discussions about when me and my man are having problems. I feel like people attack when they dont know the facts. They are just hearing my side and I just got finished arguing and am pissed off. I appreciate everyone's opinion. I just think they shouldnt be so quick to take sides in anyone's marital or relationship issues. It was my own fault thought. I started the discussion. I did get alot of help after I weeded thru the attackers. I say thanks to all the myLotters who have responded to one of my discussions. I have learned so much with their help. Thanks GUYS ! LOVE ALWAYS dl

hi laydee yes and at that time I did not know you could ask to have a discussion deleted. It was on smoking is not good for your health. It stirred up so much meanness and insults from smokers determined to make me out to be some meanie, and some trolls managed to stay up all one night to minus my 10 done to a 5, so I messaged mylot admins, and they did catch the people responsible, they were kicked out of mylot, but they still only put my star back to an 8 not a 10 but I do not mind. I have been gaining some points so maybe I will make 9 again soon.

Yeah, this is right. I know it's written on the FAQs that we should search first if the topic is already generated or made, but I think it's just a waste of valuable time to go searching. Further, I don't do that too. However, I think the admin is efficient enough to search for it themselves. hehee..
Thanks for the post, have a great mylot experience ahead!
