What's your plans for Thanksgiving!!! |
| |
| Hi mylotters. I know that here in the states we will be celebrating Thanksgiving on November 26TH. I know that a few weeks away yet, but it got me to thinking about what all I needed to do. Now that I will have a place to call home, the first thing will be that I decorate the outside and the inside with all the thanksgiving decorations. This year I will cook up a big Turkey with all the fixings for my side of the family the weekend before. Then on Thanksgiving day we will spend the day at his moms where all his family meets at for a huge dinner. Ahhhh, all of this has my mouth watering for turkey. With all this said, my question to you is..What do you do for Thanksgiving? Do you have that big dinner? | | Thanksgiving Day | | | | |

| | My club is having a fundraising activity for UNICEF. We estimates that we will get $1000+ of donation. I'm very glad to make a difference to other people especially in this tough economic times. Many people have no jobs are are buried in debt. And then some people take advantage of their need and scam them. I hope the economy recovers so I could find a job. Happy myLotting! | | | | | | |

| | Hello my friend Well I wanted to cook this year, but my mom asked me will I be joining them so I said yes, I always spend thanksgiving with my mom every year, people invite me to dinner, but I can't see myself sharing that day with anyone but my family unless I stay home and cook for my daughter and grand, its weird, I always been this way, just like new years eve I always bring it in on my knees with my family, last year we stayed home but still new years met us on our knees, not the same not being with my mom, guess I am a mommas girl, oh well, I love my mommy and all the wonderful traditions she instilled in us throughout the years. Have a great Holiday my friend, smoochessss | | | | | | |

| | In recent years my husband and I have spent it with his mom's side of the family as that's the only ones who do it anymore. My aunt does have thanksgiving, and she invites us but we don't like crowds. Before my husband and I got married, we started talking to my dad, and at the reception for our wedding, my father suggested we come by on Thanksgiving to eat with him and his family. We said we'd have to see if Jon was working and what we could do, and he said if nothing else we could pick up a plate and bring it home. He even said that my parent in laws were invited to come! In any case, If he's off work we'll most likely go up to talk and maybe eat a little with my husband's side, and then we'll go to my dad's if we can find the way there, lol! It will be in a different county and in an area I know personally I haven't been in much, if at all as I'm not sure exactly where he lives. But there ya have it though, our plans for Thanksgiving Day, or what we may be able to do, all depending. If he works, I'll just be spending the day with my husband's side as I am just now studying for my permit, and can't drive. | | | | | | |

| | Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday because its all about food and family. So like I have done for over thirty years I will do the cooking. Its a big dinner with Turkey, roast potatoes, stuffing both hard and soft, yams, corn, brussel sprouts, cranberry sauce, apple cider, wine, apple and pumpkin pies. I will have both my daughters and my son-in-law with my granddaughter for dinner. I can't wait. | | | | | | |

| | Hi Rose, We are really enjoying the day of thanksgiving , and most of the time we have been choose a best place for that party, and make the good decoration with colorful things, and also we made the plan for the turkey in the dinner. Apart from that we have prepared specail types drinks which is mainly made from the Dates and milk and it is really too tasty when you are going to enjoy after the dinner. So most of the time I used to love my mom and also this day I would prefer to stay with my mum in order to have good life and also to make the day more meaningful . Have a great day. | | | | | | |

| | We dont do much decorating for Thanksgiving only for Christmas. We have a rather large family so lots of cooking and best of all homemade pies for dessert. Our son will be away for first time in military is going to be very hard this year without him home for the Holidays. I dont think it would be good to ship a thanksgiving turkey overseas to him, hope the military does something nice for our deployed soldiers. | | | | | | |

| | I was talking about Thanksgiving with my sister on the phone today. Apparently, my parents and I are going to make the three hour trek to her house this year. We'll be having Thanksgiving at her and her husband's house. Afterwards, we'll make the half hour trip to my mom's parents to eat dessert with them. My grandparents aren't up to a big dinner, but we all want to be able to see them. My sister lives a half hour away from them, but of course my parents and I are further away. My sister says she is cooking the big Thanksgiving dinner. Which is quite shocking. I guess there IS a first for everything! | | | | | | |

| | Hi AmbiePam A couple of years ago my neice cooked her first Thanksgiving dinner for the family. We was shocked too, and was worried how that would turn out. To our surprise she done a great job. The other family members brought in desserts and extras. It turned real nice. I think though that it was a little much for her, because she hasn't volunteer to do it again..LOL..Thanks for sharing and have a great weekend. Keep smiling. | | | |
