Are faith healers real? Would you go see one?

ive seen this done and the person had a fake thumb tip with blood and other goodies in it the only people giving testamonials are the ones getting a cut $$$$ from the scam artist preforming them. i put them in the same league as some of those t.v. preachers that steal your money so they can have million in their bank accounts and build a gigantic shopping mall for GOD.

I will not accept this as such. But a part I will accept as I believe some powers are present in Earth which is unexplainable by means of scientific terms. Because my medicine is Homoepathy. It acts best in many diseases which is uncurable in modern medicine but until now there is no explanation of the action of medicine in terms of science but the medicine is working and healing many diseases. This is due to the internal power of the medicine which is unexplainable by scientific means.

I always do not understand why people opt to go to faith healers rather than to doctors. I have one office mate who is like that. Her mother was taken to a faith healer and together with her siblings, all relied on the faith healer for her mother's recovery but she did not live long enough. I won't allow a chance to bring any of my family to faith healers. I have more trust on modern medicine and science.

I think that when you are that close to dying, anything is an option. I would probably resort to these after nothing else worked. Mostly out of my instint for self preservation. No one wants to die, I hope, and out of fear of the alternative, why not try some unorthodox methods.

No. It is trick of some people to make believe in paranormal powers. I suggest people to go through site like csicop.org in order to stay in touch with the such tricks. How people are fooled and how you can find out it is not real. csicop is publication from POI(point of inquiry ) people in US, very good journal. Must read i can say.

Coming back to your topic, faith healers and prayer healing is just mental satisfaction. And it is not at all real. Those who want to believe in it should go ahead. But don't preach such quack. I like this question so i commented. Such question are good way to educate people and tell them about skeptical analysis.

Odd man out again, but here goes..
The last time Liz and I went back (up)home to Cincinnati my dad asked Liz how I was doing health wise and how often I went to the doctor. Without missing a beat she told him I rely on doctor Jesus. He wasn't happy with that answer..
Now, insofar as your question, yes I do believe in faith healing, tho not faith healers. As I believe the healers, be they of faith or the AMA are the avenues thru which Jesus works. On a personal level, I stopped going to doctors when they stopped asking me how I was feeling and started asking how I was gonna pay..I figured they'd lost sight of their position within the system when they put their income ahead of my health. It seems too much like the exploitation of ill people rather than concern over health issues..Which makes them quite comparable to the fake faith healers who are only scamming for the money..Enjoy!

I don't really know either but it's always nice for me to hear stories from real people that they have indeed been healed. I think when all else fail, people try to resort to these faith healings and I guess the reason why these patients are healed is also their strong faith. With them believing they are gonna be healed, they are truly healed without really any effort or help from the supposed healers. I wouldn't call it a miracle, just plain faith...and I believe in that.:D

I believe that visit a doctor in good faith is a better option.
Medicine provides assistance to the body's natural ability to recover.
Faith healers don't actually have any ability to heal anyone. They just boots up the mental capacity to fight against disease and sickness.
I believe your body and mind are capable of healing themselves so one can mediate and take medicine at the same time to recover.

Hi friend Though most of the people do not believe on the subject but there few people who really believe on faith healers and in my life I have seen few expert who are doing faith healing works. When peoples have no other option they rely on such faith healers sometimes it works it may be coincidence, but one thing is sure to believe that there is some supernatural power. Partially I believe on faith healers.

but there are cases wherein a terminally ill got cured which buffled their doctors, these can't be explained by science and those who got cured claimed that they are healed by prayers and their faith in God. If doctors can't explained it, who am I to question it.

What science tells us is that our brain is the ultimate healing machine, that is if only we can tap those energy and channel it to "sick" parts of our body. to me maybe through their faith and belief that those energy was harness to the fullest and since man cannot explain it, he calls it a miracle, that he is cured by his faith.
