I always wanted to go to Japan=) |
|
Even when I was little, I always dream of going to Japan. I dreamed of going there because I love how they have emerged especially in the industrial side. How creative they are in the creation of robotics and how advanced their technologies are. I know that in the world, US is considered the most powerful of all nations, but for Japan, they say that they don't really need US, and does not really need to understand the English language because Japan is already an advanced state on itself. That is how some people sees Japan as a country of advanced science and technology.
My sister was able to work there for a short time of 6 months. Although she was on the country side of the country, she said that its really different there. She would use mostly a bicycle to go to work, and that 7-11 stores have a bathroom in them! How cool is that! haha! Well, because thats something new to me.=)
I love the food, the raw meat - sushi, sashimi and maki. The wasabi makes it more enticing!
If I have the money, Japan would definitely be my first destination outside this country.
What are your thoughts on Japan? Do you think that they are powerful already and really dont need help from other nations?

1. gusuifengpiao (562) | 2 months ago | Yeah,I agree with you at some point.Japan is well developed. And people there are quite smart and scientific and technological products there are really excellent. However,I don't think Japan doesn't need help from other nations. The resources in Japan are quite limited. And it needs a lot of imports to make sure people there can get enough resources to develop the country. So they need help.It doesn't mean they are not developed enough, the problem will always exist. I also would like to travel to Japan, because the scenery is really beautiful there.Hope I can be there one day. Have a nice day! Sarah

agv0419 (2299) | 2 months ago | Yes Japan is most advanced when it comes to technology. I feel envy to that country because here in the Philippines we are still low tech. I don't believe that they don't need other countries because I heard that they are depending in imports. Because of their limited area they can't suppy food for all of them.

redphile (299) | 2 months ago | Okay maybe in the needing part im not quite true=) but definitely their technology is super advanced. Like everything can be made into robots. haha!

2. wlee9696 (382) | 2 months ago | Oh I would love to visit Japan. The culture would be amazing. So different from our on yet so similar. The food good be a little too different - but there are so many "Americanized" places I"m sure I could make it without too much problems. I would have to learn to speak enough Japanese to get by - there would be my biggest problem - it could be difficult to learn even a small conversational portion of the language. It would be worth it to see the scenery though.

redphile (299) | 2 months ago | I also would like to learn the language. Its difficult actually, my sister has a book and I cant quite understand! haha! I love to see the robotics and advanced machines they got there! they always have something new to invent!

3. mesuaky (252) | 2 months ago | Well its nice to know that there is someone out there who shares the same dream like mine. i also dream of going to Japan since young, we have this show the Japan Hour where i am and it shows things about Japan, places and their culture plus the techoligies as well, its actually a place of complete balance where the do their best to keep on improving on their technology but at one side you can also see how they tried to preserved their culture and historical background, they also make sure that most of their tradtions are passed on to the next generation. as well as there places, i watch in the shows how some of the places there still preserve the hot springs and take care of their beautiful natures habitat. sometimes when i watch this show i feel like the place is like heaven in their cherry blossom festival is one of the thing they are proud of and the foods there look so fantastic. I wish one of this days i will get the chance to go there too.

6. earth2jacq (906) | 2 months ago | Eversince I read (moreso when I watched the movie) the novel Memoirs of a Geisha, I was fascinated by the culture and places in Japan. It amazes me how Japan preserved their old and new culture.
I have always wanted to see the old teahouses and the geishas in their full garb. I want to see a poetry in motion.

redphile (299) | 2 months ago | you know what, i love that movie too! even before the movie was out, i know there was already a book and was fascinated, didnt know that time what a geisha was. now i know! and i still love the movie and the story behind it.

| 9. scarsofdeath (41) | 2 months ago | Japan is an ideal example for an indipendent nation. They worked ahrd to be indipendent and the deserve to be. We don't understand their technologies, because we won't try that hard. As far as I know, japanese people are not only very smart, but very cultural and traditional too. Their confidence is what stuns the world. they have a die hard moral and a will to do it on their own. So if Japan says they don't want any outside help, I think they are powerful enough already. Someday when I have the money, I would like to visit Japan too, and maybe get a chance to get in touch of their cultural ceremonies.
| |
| |
|
|
redphile (299) | 2 months ago | Yeah I think they have a great culture and they still keep ways to preserve it. They are so powerful that I felt that they dont need that much help from other countries. Their technologies are very advanced and unique.=)

10. nrtan2000 (1026) | 2 months ago | When i saw modern Japan in a documentary show i think it was really interesting to visit the place and i think its fun seeing people there that dress nothing like those we usually see in our place. I have seen that people there really dress differently from here in our place. Its like people there really know fashion whether young or old and i even find it interesting seeing people dress like those characters we see in anime cartoons. It would really be nice learning how to develop modern technology in Japan since i think they are really very advanced compared to other countries. Though i have only seen Japan in tv i think its really a nice place to visit someday.

|
redphile (299) | 2 months ago | yeah! the fashion sense of the Japanese especially younger people are so cool and unique! True, they are like those in anime cartoons!=)
