Are Video Games narrowing our thinking capabilities and making us dull???? |
|
I heard this once from a news channel that video games make our brains dull......but the doctor said "too much of video game". What is this too much?? is there a way to calculate this limit?? or is it true that video games make us dull???

4. strikezero86 (199) | 1 month ago | I guess it would depend on the video game in question. If it's a simple no-brainer game, then obviously, the brain's going to go dull. But a lot of video games allows for people to have to do some thinking on their part to finish the game. And then of course, there are various puzzle games or edutainment games to help keep the mind sharp. As for playing too much video games, well, again, it depends on the game. If I play a lot of puzzle games that's suppose to sharpen the mind then how can it become dull?
So, playing video games doesn't really dull the mind. In fact, I would think it's television that dulls it. I mean, there's not as much thinking or even movement involved in watching TV. (Unless you're watching educational stuff, that is.)
