Which you prefer, a comic or novel

For whatever reason, I've always been MORE into reading than looking at comics. Definitely novels of books of any kind for me. I'm not sure why, but comics were just never that interesting to me.*shrugs*

Ok i have to go with novels. The biggest reason is that it does NOT have the pictures lol. You get to use your imagination on what the people and everything else looks like. My mind tends to disagree with another persons view of the characters and setting.

I've tried reading graphic novels and comics, but I just can't get into them. I like regular novels so much better. I like books for the writing aspect of them, and I don't really like it when half the writing is replaced by images. I know the saying "a picture's worth a thousand words" but I really disagree. I'd prefer to have 1,000 words. But that's the reason we have such a huge publishing industry, so you can read comics and I can read novels.:D

i read a lot, and it doesnt matter if its a comic or a novel, but if i have to choose, i will go for a novel.. i use to read novels since im in highschool, i even read them while im cooking food...hahahaha

I am an avid reader and I have to admit that I prefer reading novels to comics. For me, too many pictures cause headache and I think they are only for children lol. Words in novel can play with your feelings and imaginations. It's amazing how those paragraphs describe the scene without using pictures and still the story is perfect.
Novels can be in first or third person point as well which make it more interesting.

I like both but I do not get much pleasure from reading comics anymore. Cartoons on those comics is better. I read novels and short stories regularly. I wish to complete all the Agatha Cristi books. I am currently busy with Bourne Identity. I have not read it for 2 days in a row. I will be getting back to it in an hour or so.

I prefer comics because it more animated and we can fee what actually author say in his story. Other hand I doesn't have much reading habit that way I prefer novel.

For this question i would always choose a novel. I just couldn't get that interested in comic books. I would reach the comics in the Sunday paper, but that was about it. Give me a novel to read anytime.

I've never really been into comics. I've been more into novels, ever since I was a child. It has happened that I've read an occasional comic. However, it has happened very often that I read a comic. It's just a preference of mine.

When I was younger I sometimes read comics, I loved Donald Duck My father used to buy the magazine for me every week, and he always read, too. Sometimes I also read the comics for girls (lovestories etc). Now I prefer to read novels or short stories. I love to read and I always borrow lots of books at the library. I sometimes buy comics when I am abroad. If I have got nothing to read and don't understand the language in the country where I am, I like to buy some comics, then I look at the pictures and try to understand the story Sometimes I even learn a few words of the local language that way.
