I hate it when people whisper.

i think its rude to whisper its not really nice and i hate it when they whisper in front of you why can't they go to another room and talk instead of whispering its more respectful that way take care happy postings.

Whispering means that definitely people don't want you to know what they are talking about. When its someone in a public place that I don't not knew, then its fine with me. But, if it is done by someone I knew, I would definitely react and raise an eyebrow. I fell like somebody is telling someone secret enough that me (as their friend) doesn't want to knew. Damn, I hate it. In our house, it is not allowed. When someone wanted to tell someone and did not want others to hear it, I make it a point the they knew that they have to excuse for a moment and continue their conversation somewhere else.

For me, I don't see any problem with people whispering. I really don't mind whether you whisper or not I get maybe worried if i think that maybe you are whispering in order to say something that I might not hear. Then I begin to think that maybe you are gossiping about me. Other than this I really don't mind whether people whisper or not.

it depends on the time and place

IF I'm at a movie theater and I have to get up (say to go to the bathroom) I might whisper to my friend I'm with that I'll be right back.

If I'm in a different room and don't want to share with people in the next room what I want to say to the person in the same room, I might whisper.

If I'm in the room with the person and don't want to share something with all the people in the room, I say nothing at all, whispering in front of a person is very rude.

It is not only rude, it feels intimidating at times. About the same as when two people speak a foreign language in front of someone who does not speak that language. It could be perfectly innocent, but it feels like something rude and like they are talking about you.

Maybe it's not always good to whisper, but I can't find fault with anyone as long as there're some good reason for it that I don't know. If people want to share something out of my head, I can't force them to reveal it. Anyway, I try behaving reasonably sothat I won't be ashamed of myself, then I don't care about the stories behind me.

I hate it too. it seems like it is even louder when they whisper than when they yell.

whispering does'nt really bother me,it's the mumblers i absolutly hate

That used to bother me when I was a kid, but lately nobody I know does that. I guess it is something most people grow out of.

rather insulting also. I would never do that to other people.
Also I hate it when people I am with start talking in a language
that I do not understand and cannot speak. I feel like they are
deliberately cutting me out or talking about me, or both. I
think that is rude and insulting. If they did not want me there
then why was I asked to come? People like that are not very
good friends for sure.
