Do you have more than one Christmas Tree in your home? |
|
We addressed in another post the live vs. artificial question so now I am wondering do you use more than one tree? Once I started using artificial trees I went to two trees. One upstairs and one downstairs. I have so many Christmas ornaments that I am considering going to three trees. We also use the little tabletop trees in the kids rooms. I have space for one of those "skinny" type trees in the dining room. So who out there uses more than one tree and how many do you have?

We keep that one out on the front porch where we have a couple of deck chairs and a small corner table. My husband loves decorating for Christmas and I have to say that the inside and the outside of the house look lovely...although I'm still trying to get used to the idea of Christmas in Florida. I'd love to put down some fake snow but the dogs would eat it and the neighborhood kids would play in it.

I had friends in Florida who used to turn the air conditioner on really cold so they could wear sweaters on Christmas Day. I like the tree on the deck idea - I bet that turns out really nice - especially at night with the tree lights on.

The baubles never stay on, everyone wants to play with them... the tree gets knocked down by confused felines attempting to find birds in it... and we have lots of other decorations all over the house, so we don't really have room for a second tree. Having said that, it would save the arguments about what colour tinsel we're having, and whether the star or the angel is going on the treetop. My daughter wanted a pink and purple tree this year. I bought her a miniature purple tinsel tree for her bedroom windowsill, and some pink baubles, so she doesn't have to interfere with my tree!

That way the kids couldn't get to it and the kitty was at least slowed down - the little ornaments hanging off the bottom of the tree were at least less of a distraction. It also served to keep the presents contained and where little hands couldn't get to them.

5. rodsdman (122) | 1 month ago | Putting up, decorating, and then taking down one tree is enough for me. I am debating if I even want to put the tree up this year, as I will not be home for the weeks preceeding and including Christmas. I imagine you figured out I have an artifical tree. I am glad that you enjoy the holiday and that your family gets into decorating, have a happy holiday.
