Do you conserve water?

I don't know that I necessarily conserve water but I do not waste it. I never run the sink when I am washing dishes or brushing my teeth. I also don't take long showers, I keep them as fast possible, and I only do full loads of dishes and laundry. So I guess in a way I conserve water although I don't do anything extremely extaordinary.

we all need to contribute small things at conserving water.our house has rain water harvesting system which helps to channelise rainwater to the ground water.its not very expensive but no doubt it can be efficient.if lot many houses have this we can do a little to increase the water table.

Well, the rain water is collected and used for cleaning the out doors as well as for watering the outdoor plants.in this way, we save both water as well as the energy.Well, the effective use of rain water can help us in minimising the wasteeage and also its an added advantage.Well, i do agree that all natural resources have to be conserved and utilised in a way that it does not exhaust quickly.Thanks!

i conserve water every minute and every second of the day, since our water is metered so we have to save water in order to pay lower bill every month. it is also wise to save water at home, check every leakage and water the plants by used water from laundry.

I live in a drought-region, so we have to conserve water. I have two rainwater collection tanks on either side of the house, connected to the downpipes from the gutters to collect rainwater off the roof. This is used to water gardens, wash the dogs, wash the car or mop the floors.

I also keep a bucket in the shower to catch the water that is wasted when you heat up the hot water. It takes around 13 liters of water (4 gallons??) before it gets warm enough to step into the shower. Don't let it run down the drain. Catch it in a bucket. When you're finished your shower, take the bucket out and pour it over the garden.

I have the hose from my washing machine loosened away from the sink so I can pour the washing water into a bucket. This gets used to water the lawn or wash the car.

I keep a thick layer of mulch on my gardens to reduce the amount of water my plants and vegetable gardens need every day.

There are plenty of ways to conserve water, but it really is noticeable if you live in a drought area.

hi yes I try to conserve water. I say I try cause most of the time its limited to such basics as not to let the water just run when I brush teeth or wash hands and put soap on.
When my herniated disc doesnt act up too badly I also use the water in the bath tub after having the bath for the loo cause its not logical at all that clean water which would be fit for kitchen and drinking use goes down the loo. But thats why I say I try. When the backaches are so bad there is no way I could get that water out of the tub into the buckets I have bought especially for this use.
