Now before you all panic that there is something wrong with my cooker, please be rest assured there is not but I was wondering if we had to use the hob rings only for one week what sort of good healthy meals we could dish up to the family????
I was wondering this question when I was cooking Spaetttii Bolanganse for tea tonight.

I have no idea what they are either. I have a stove but no rings on it. Burner grates I do have.

We have elecrtic cooker so they are the rings on the top where you put the frying pan which I don't use and the saucepans... so I suppose another way of asking this question is what can I just cook in one saucepan or two saucepans without having ot put the oven on. Hope this helps and clears up any confusion

Hi Anne, there's lots of things to cook on the hob, I've hardly used the oven at all since it first became hot, except for baking and to roast a chicken. Last night I cooked chicken and rice together in one pan, with garlic, shallots and cream. Not much cream of course and it easy to leave out.

Hello Anne, well I have a recipe for "no-bake" cookies that one just cooks on the top of the stove rather than in an oven, and I have a large heavy kettle (dutch oven) that will "roast" any meat. When the meat is nearly done, I add vegetables, and then put home-made stuffing on the very top...all in the one pot.
