For me birthday is very very important day in my life.
I feel even when i reached my 100 birthday i will be celebrating on that day also.
Its special because that day when come in this world..
I always feel and want to treat or celebrate my every birthday as very very special one for me..
But, i want to say, sometime i really get very very disappointed on that day, because i feel my expectation level from friends, from my family, from my near and dear one is very high, so many times create the disappointed kind of atmosphere, because they don't understand, as how i feel about that day.. But yes, from now on i promised that enjoy my day on my own way and never expect from any one, because it makes me sad on that day and i want to make that day and every year a very very special for me..

| life8118 (526) | 2 months ago | The thing is i am very much prefect in the matter of remembering birthday of my friend and closed friend, and i expect exactly same way, as i wish them early in morning, or at 12:00 send and draft excellent sms,email and even gifts depend upon my closeness with that person. so, one my birthday when half or almost day completes i don't want some one call me late, just he/she got up from sleep and got click, ohhhh today's her birthday, i feel very very irritating, as when i always remember and greet them in prefect time, how can they forget.. | |

 voldrox (1536) | 2 months ago |  I understand, i hope your dear friends remember your birthday always... it has happened to me one time that my friend called me up on my birthday and he wasn't aware it was my birthday and we talked for a while and then i realized he doesn't know it is my birthday and i thought he called because he was going to wish but then i had to remind him that it was my birthday and then he was like ohhhh i am sorry i was busy, he is a very close friend of mine and i was expecting him to remember my birthday at least but well sometimes people get too busy i guess and i so he apologized and i said it was fine and no need to apologize, well i guess you should also take it a little light, it is not like they don't care but sometimes it just happens that way and they too feel bad about it.

| 3. neo_matrix (603) | 2 months ago |  when i was in college birthday celebrations were great fun .infact i had such large a friend circle that i kept on receiving gifts and cards almost the whole of month. now i don't have such great parties with friends but hang around with family .but most of my friends do make it a point to call up and sent a card or e-card even if birthday has passed a week ago.

| 4. jndlponti (416) | 2 months ago |  Yes I do celebrate my birthday. I am a married person now but I still get excited everytime it is almost my birthday. By the way my birthday is already next month.
When I was younger I used to have a party always, it had been a family tradition to gather around during my birthday since I was the eldest grandchild from both parents. So usually my grandparents come, and they were the one who spend much time preparing for the party.
But now that I have grown, then my grandparents have already pass away. I only celebrate it with my parents. But after I get married I only celebrate it with my husband and my child. But my parents still make preparations in thier house for me though I am not there. They will just call me and sing a happy birthday song then all of them blow out the candle for me.
I always like the feeling when it is my birthday.

8.  bryandairogarcia (185) | 2 months ago |  I stopped celebrating my birthday...after my dad passed away. It's more of that people around me were too depressed that I felt being happy around them would cause them grief.
My friends would celebrate for me though and that way I appreciate them so much. Personally, I wouldn't spend for my birthday but if others are willing to spend for me that is very much welcome too
I think you can consider me part of those special cases where people don't see their birthday as special

| 9. minx267 (1493) | 2 months ago |  Well I don't Celebrate really. But I do always take my birthday off from work and go out to eat with my family and maybe some friends.
I work 3rd shift and don't get to see many of them since I sleep in the daytime.
our business is open 7 days a week- 24 hours a day. so we work every holiday we are scheduled on. So most often I am working all major holidays and still don't get to see my family when most do. So I make it a ritual that I take that day off every year. Not so much to celebrate as to take one day of just for me! And I would usually like to spend it with my family and friends.
