Hair straightening is a new trend among youth.Hair straightening makes hair easier to manage than the naturally frizzy hair.Is there any side effect in doing it.

hi,
i could say that hair straightening such as flat iron and blower will damage our hair, even the hair re-bonding process could also damage our hair but the good here in re-bonding is a one time process only and we can maintain the beauty of our hair with hair conditioner.

Hi
My hair is freezy but i don wan to make it straight as many of my friends tried it but they have a lot of hair problem after that.So if hair falls then what will be left its better to have my hair first in proper condition rather than straightening.

I you don't condition your hair and use products to protect it from the heat, your hair can become damaged. Straightening your hair requires using a large amount of heat and this can cause damage, breakage, split ends and the hair to dry out. There are special hair products out there that protect against excessive heat. They work really well. Also, it is a great idea to use a leave in conditioner. I like Infusium 23 leave in conditioner spray. It is so good for the hair and it repairs damage.

Any kind of heat on your hair essentially damages it. Straightening is no exception. Just like washing it in hot water, or using a curling iron or a blow-dryer..Straightening is the same thing unfortunately. The thing is, straightening actually causes your natural hair to be MORE dry and MORE frizzy than it was before you straightened it. There are some hair straightneres out these days that are saying they DON'T do any damage to your hair - but honestly I don't know if I necessarily believe the hype. As far as I know, straightening does some mega-damage on your hair. Not that I don't straighten my hair every day, but still. It's good to know.

I straighten my hair occasionally, but it can fry your hair if you aren't careful. I use a conditioning spray in my hair before I straighten it - it protects my hair from the heat damage while making my hair shiny. =] It helps my frizz a little bit, but not much. I have such think and long hair though, so it may just be my hair.
