Are you irritated when people lie to you?

Have I lied before...yea when I was still using (drugs) I use to lie alot but its sadly par for the course....and that was long ago..as for how i react when ppl like to me..well I've never liked it and its something that will make me flip out if its someone I'm close to like my kids, hubby or friends etc...

welcome to the wonderful world of mylot. yes i guess everybody gets irritated when someone tell a lie. and it is more irritating if the lie leads to a bigger lie that hurts you and your family already. i know someone who promised us a lot of things and he wants to book our band on gigs for he said he knows a lot of hotel owners that we can get booked. we believe in that and after a few weeks i can smell something fishy already. it end up that he was just telling lies and we did not get any booking from him. he is a fraud.

I get beyond irritated when people lie to me. My family is in the midst of a crisis because somebody lied to us, asked us to lie for her and then made us out to be the bad guys. I was taught to never lie and that is what I have taught my kids, telling a small lie just starts a chain reaction. The lies just get bigger to cover the smaller ones and stories get twisted and the end is always ugly!!!

I dont usually lie except maybe to teachers:). I hate eing lied to especially if its not worth lying about.

I get very irritated when people lie - especially when you catch them and they won't admit it or act like YOU are in the wrong.

A friend's daughter is like that. She'll swear or do something and you say "don't do that" and she'll go "I didn't" - making out you are a liar - and argue with you about it. I wish her mother would give her some sort of punishment but she doesn't even make her apologise or admit she is lying even when she's lying to her.

I try not to lie but I recognise in some circumstances it would be better to do so - for example, the school bully is looking for some kid to beat and you say that you don't know where he is even when you do. Lying to protect someone from some bad thing that they don't deserve is okay.

Other than that lying usually leads to more trouble, especially when people start lying to themselves.
