How often do you change your desktops wallpaper or other theme settings ?  

As I red in some articles, having wall papers or screen savers will consume the computer resources to a considerable amount, I will not set then in my desktop screen. I will always have a blank scree. But earlier, I used to have them. Though not very often, I used to change them at least once in a month or when ever I see a new attractive themes to my desktop.As we are not going to see the desktop screen always, I don't have much interest in that also.

When I worked as an office temp, if it was a really slow day at reception, I could spend an entire morning trying out different wallpapers and screensavers! I still change my wallpaper on my computer at home every few days or weeks, but now I like using unusual photos I've taken.

Ah no, I don't change them often. I could last a whole year without changing any of the settings, themes and wallpaper.

I don't know, perhaps I'm just not fond of them. Or perhaps I'm just way too busy to even bother because I don't like the look of most themes when they change the 'look' of everything to the point of making the fonts unclear and looking messy.

Besides, I most often either go online or type something using spreadsheets etc. so I won't see the wallpaper at all.

So there you have it, I rarely change the settings, wallpaper or themes.

my new LCD monitor now has a resolution of 1440x900 so i don't have lots of good wallpapers for it so im just stuck with one wallpaper until my mood changes haha... i don't even have time to change my wallpaper so busy online doing stuffs =) but yeah i might look for one later thanks for the idea =)

i am not fond of putting up wallpapaers for my desktop..i like it the way it is...


i am not fond of changin g the theme too..

so basically computer has been the same way since i bought it..lolz...and that's how i am with my mobile phone too.

I change desktop wallpaper very rarely. I had an image of a desert for last 9 months in my desktop. Most recently I have changed the wallpaper with a gradient of two blues shades. As my first preference is to see the icons in the desktop clearly. I have notices that I can't manage to find icons in a hurry when I keep any image as wallpaper. So I have made it clean and all the icons readable. On the other hand I change and tweak theme settings very often. I change fonts, color of the title bar, location of the taskbar, menubar and mouse pointers according to my need.

Generally i dont change it that frequently. If i feel that i have some time in my hand and sitting with my pc, then i go for changing wallpaper. Mostly i keep my wife and daughter's pictures as desktop wallpaper.

i dont change my much at all i got a pictute of my grandkids on there

I don't know if I can answer this right because I really change my wallpaper or theme seldom. Maybe once in every 4-5 months. Haha. Not sure though. I'm a kind of person who doesn't want changes all the time. I don't want my routine disturbed. :)

I recently installed windows 7 and it allows me to select all my backgroud pictures and have them change automatically every day, one to 12 hours, every 30 minutes up to a minute, and it even has the option to change the wallpaper in the seconds. Probably my other operating system allowed that too, but like you I happen to get the urge to change that background every time I sat down in front of the computer and found this solution to my pain. Ha! Currently I have mine change automatically every 30 seconds. Very cool.
For my own enjoyment it gives me a kick to take my digital camera wherever I go and take all kinds of scenery shots and then download them to a special wallpaper folder I made so that I can see those shots throughout the day.
