Online Bill Pay or Mail your Bills in?  |

 Most companies now have the ability to pay your bills through the internet, some are still in the dark ages and this is not yet possible. This leads me to my question, do you prefer to pay your bills through the internet or do you prefer to use the more traditional method of postal mail? Why?
For me, I like to pay our bills through the internet. We have one utility company that doesn't yet have the ability to be paid online and that one bill drives me insane every month.

Most of the companies are having the facility to send
the bills by online and also we would have the possibility
to pay that bill through the online, so there are very easy method
and no need to worry about anything. Bur some companies still having
the facility of posting the bills by traditional post and also don't have
the chance to pay their bills through online, so which is very difficult
to pay each and every month. So I am always would prefer to get the bills
through the online and also want to pay the bills through online too.

I keep a piece of paper at my desk with every bill that needs to be paid in a given month and write down the confirmation numbers as soon as I've scheduled the payment. | |

My bank enables me to track my account online and it also offers easy payment for bills but I am just very hessitant to try it. I am really scared of being scammed in the internet. I am afraid my account would get sniffed by some malicious people. No matter how I wish to do the paying of bills the fastest way, I still couldn't so I I end up doing the manual. Though the manual thing is not really that safe at all because you may get held up or you might lose the money to pay the bills on your way but I would just want to do it the way I got used to doing it..:D

However, it is wonderful for me to be able to visit the websites and make the payments as I have so much control over when the payments come out of the checking account. | |

I used to be one who didn't believe in paying on line but once I did it I've been a paying on line kind of girl ever since. Frankly I don't know how I got along with out online bill paying LOL. When I look at my bills and how many of them there are, just the stamps alone would cost me about 5 dollars per month, not to mention the gas to get to the post office. | |

He works for a family owned business with less than thirty employees so they don't do automatic deposit and I baby sit my nieces and they pay me by check so we have to make trips to the bank for deposits, but that is it. | |

I would only pay for things on the Internet if they were verified, and the fact that the payment is instant allows for a bigger window to send the payment if something goes wrong. | |

I scheduled our cable payment today and it will post against our checking account on Monday. I meant to schedule it earlier in the week but I've been so busy that I just totally forgot about it. However, because of the control that we as consumers have when paying our bills with the internet, it isn't going to be a problem at all. | |

8.  rjl1989 (143) | 3 months ago |  I think pretty much the only thing i dont do online is my food shopping, as i dont spend very much so the £5 or so delivery would add about 50% to my shop, plus id have to stay in at a certain time to accept the delivery, and you have to be quite organised to know what you want to get.
Another thing i dont buy online is clothes because i need to try them, although i have bough a few things online.
I cant think of anything else i dont buy online.

Well, and the water bill because their online payment option is screwed up and they charge you 2.25 to do an online transaction, so I just swing buy a bank that accepts their payment when I am running errands anyway. | |

We've done that with our natural gas bill but not with either of our other utilities because neither of those is ever very high. Our electricity bill averages about 75 dollars a month during the summer and lower during the winter and our water bill is normally around 45 dollars each month so I really don't see the point in budgeting those. | |
