 Is there any scenes which ripped you off...for me some scenes from American History-X were really disturbing..The scene when he is nad at his sister..and especially the seen when he kills that "black guy" by kicking on his head..These scenes destroyed me.

2.  jazzsue58 (985) | 4 weeks ago | Pan's Labyrinth, when the guy just keeps smashing a bottle or gun or something, into this poor prisoner's face, and you can see him just standing there, as his face dissapears. A bit too much, I thought. It crossed that line between artisitic impact and gratuitous sick violence.
The other one was in Toy Story, when Buzz Lightyear's arm came off ... Eurrrgh!

But the way that scene was filmed - I mean, you could actually SEE his face caving in. I'm amazed the censors can say, "No, no - someone smoking a cigarette? That's is SOOOO non-PC," yet allow something like thisd through on a 15 certificate.
Is it any wonder thugs will stamp on some poor victim's face till his head explodes - and then film it on their camera? The movie may have been art house. Well, so was Legend of 1900 - and I know which I prefer. | |

| 4. vivrenpar (350) | 4 weeks ago | The Hills have Eyes has a scene where Ted Levine gets burned to death and he is screaming and his eyes turn white and some other horrible stuff and it just made me feel so sorry for him. Its quite an odd/gross movie.
I was also disturbed by the curb stomp in AH-X, I think you can still hear him because he probably wouldn't die from that and it would be horribly painful. I haven't seen the whole movie so maybe he did die? | |

Another one which, I think, everyone knows (because it's been parodied so much) is the Odessa steps sequence, in Battleship Potemkin. Everything in that movie, from the baby pram rolling down the steps, to the nurse's eye shot out, to the man carrying his dead child - man, that was way ahead of its time. Totally disturbing, yet totally a masterpiece. | |
