How much would you spend for your parents if if you had a $1 Million now? 10% of it, 20% of it, 50% of it or perhaps, would you spent more for them than yourself?

1. cryw0lf (740) | 1 month ago | Well that'd be about £625,000 in GBP I suppose. So i'm not entirely sure. Maybe 10% Each. Which i know it seems a bit selfish but it gives me a good start in life.

2. uchihaseymour (349) | 1 month ago | i love my parents. but if i am only the child in the family, i will give 80% of the 1 million dollars for my parents. but, we are 8 in the family, that is why i will just give 50% of the 1 million for my family and 30% for my siblings while 20% remains for me (^^,) it is ok if i have the least, money is not important after all.:)

| rj4pau (57) | 1 month ago | Oh I see..:-) So you would just spent it for yourself eh? Since your parents had passed away, spending on their remembrance would do isn't it... perhaps changing their grave into an expensive marble decorated grave.

4. Porcospino (2621) | 1 month ago | My husband and I have discussed this situation before, and we have talked about how to spend to money if we ever win a million dollars or something like that. We want to kept some of the money and spend it on a house, but we also want to give some money to our families. If we had one million we would probably keep 50%, and give 25% to my family and 25% to my husband's family. We want to give money to our parents, but we also want to give some money to our brothers and sisters and their children.

7. getbrowser (1427) | 1 month ago | If I have 1 million dollars, I will keep 80%, and then give 80% of the 1 million dollars to my parents.
I am not a selfish man. You see, from where I stand, money doesn't mean everything. Much money won't make our parents be happy. If we can spend much time on their daily life and health, they may feel more happy than giving them lots of money.
So, as chilren, we should pay more attention to our parents' real happiness. Money is useless or not enough to make our parents enjoy a better life.

8. May2k8 (1282) | 1 month ago | I will give ninety percent to my parents if I really get 1 million, because they always be in my side and I love them. Maybe they need it more than me, because I have not been able to manage expenses or income.

9. owlwings (5150) | 1 month ago | If I had a million (dollars or pounds) now, I would not spend any of it on my parents. Money is only of any value to the living and my parents are both long gone.
If I had had that kind of money in, say, 1950 or 1955, I would probably have given all of it if it would have cured my father of dementia and allowed him to, at least, live to his late 80's or 90's and to have died quietly and happily knowing at least some of his grandchildren.
My mother was not what one would call well off but she had a house and enjoyed her life to the full until she was 94. Her last few months were tough, perhaps, but there was nothing more that could be done for her than was done - certainly nothing that money would buy.
If I had a million now, I would see, first, that my three children had fewer financial worries than they have now (though money doesn't buy everything ... fewer things, actually, than you might imagine). After that, who knows? With interest rates the way they are, I doubt that there would be enough capital to make a great difference to my life style!
