Tonight i had a go at apple bobbing and let me tell you the children had more fun watching the mothers trying to get the apples then trying themselves. It was soo funny hair all wet and make up running.

Last year we went to the playgroup family picnic for our playgroup and they had a bunch of games set up for the children. Bobbing for Apples was among them and it was so cute to see the children doing it. The majority of our children are kindergarten aged or younger so they didn't really know what they were supposed to do, but once they'd seen it done, they were all over the activity. I've actually got a picture of my son with his face in the trough and I would post it only I never seem to have luck getting my images to upload.

I've never bobbed or apples, and I'm not sure if they still do that at Halloween Parties or not to be honest. I haven't gone to any Halloween Parties really. Last night my husband and I got together with friends.

When I was a kid we use to go to halloween parties and there was alway apple bobbing game. I am not sure if they are still doing the apple bobbing at halloween parties anymore but if they are not then they are missing out on lots of fun.

I haven't seen this since I was a child in the 50's and 60's!! It was so much fun and much harder than it looked! Do they do it where you are? Unfortunately, not many of the old traditions survive in America right now.
