What Happened to Kris Allen???  |

 I've seen Adam Lambert on several shows lately, but NO mention of Kris Allen. The last I heard, he was going to be putting out an album in August 2009. Here it is November with NO album. Adam is doing the song to the new movie 2012. Randy Jackson & Adam Lambert were on Oprah last week...still NO mention of Kris other than Adam said he didn't mind coming in second as he thought the world of Kris, he's recording music now & that's what he wanted!!! When Kelly Clarkson won, she was on every show coming down the pike for the first couple of months. When Ruben Studdard won, he was on several shows immediately thereafter. David Cooke is still doing the rounds on shows singing his one song. Kris Allen has just disappeared off the face of the earth. He has a website that features ONE new song that isn't very good & being sold on iTunes for $1.29. That's far from a new album. There is NO update as to where he'll be performing. I was an Adam fan ALL the way through their season on American Idol. I said I would support Kris & meant it. However, that one song is NOT worth $1.29 in my eyes. So, has anybody heard anything about Kris Allen since he won American Idol??? What is he up to???

Kinda shocking that his album is not yet released, if any. Maybe, he has bigger plans or what.. I don't know. I prefer Danny Gokey's voice. He should make an album soon; I'd buy..

I'm wondering if his religious beliefs didn't stop him from doing some of the things the devil requires to be a musician??? | 2. carolbee (6696) | 4 weeks ago |  Nope, I haven't heard a word about Kris Allen either. Thought he was going to tour at some point. I wanted Adam to win since I thought he was much more talented. He had experience on Broadway and just an excellent performer. Makes me wonder about American Idol. I am a big fan but last season almost seemed "fixed." The fellow with the most talent didn't win. I will watch again this year. It's rather interesting in the very beginning of the season..lol

Adam was the more talented of the two finalists and I was extremely disappointed. This year might be fun with Ellen as one of the judges. She's so funny that maybe her comedy will bring something new to the show. | |

Carol, I felt Adam was a more confident entertainer. Kris has a lovely voice, but he lacked confidence & flare. Adam could have taught them ALL how to perform. I'd love to see him & Allison do an album together. I can see them as the next Sonny & Cher!!! The day after I posted this discussion, Walmart put up posters answering my question. Both Kris & Adam have albums coming out within the next 2 weeks. | |

I have heard rumors he is more of a Christian type singer so maybe he will go that direction more, and so many will not want his CDs as well. Maybe I guess sometime word will come out on what is going on for him, but it would be interesting to see for sure. | |

His CD is totally amazing and I have been listening to it like crazy (Its on the AOL CD preview and I've found all the songs on Youtube as well). Adams just not my style of music most of the time - but I have heard pieces of his new album. I will be getting some of them because he does have an amazing voice and talent...just not my genre! lol Hope that you all enjoy both CDs!

| LadyMarissa (2649) | 3 weeks ago | Guess we just visit different sites. I have NOTHING against Kris as he has a lovely voice. I just never saw the star quality in him as I did Adam. My genre is Blues & Jazz with a touch of Classic Rock so I don't find many up & coming artists who fit my preferences. Adam is not in my preferred genre either. I just saw a quality in him that made me feel he would become a star given the right opportunities. He craved it from deep within his soul. Kris sings well, but I never felt he had the desire nor the devotion that will be needed to hit it big.
The day after I posted this discussion, Walmart posted that both Kris & Adam will have their albums out this month. I will probably buy both albums, but will wait & see if either are worth my time. | |
