Does anyone else enjoy being single?

Well hi there Binthu. Thanks for sharing your perspective and insight on the subject. You are correct in that there are a lot of intangibles involved in a marriage. And there are also sacrifice, as well. I feel a lot more free without having to account for every second. And definitely being able to stay out of drama is great,too. I have decided that I do not want marriage again no time soon whatsoever:) I hope you have a nice day, too.

single life is to show of human nature to being freedom. your advise is wiseful. I am single and be happy. family is a good tradition but its depand many,many things. formost thing is your partner. So first living with partner and than decide marriage, i think so. have a nice day.

I was 35 before I got married so there is still time for you marcelinka. LOL LOL Thanks for adding your thoughts on the subject. As far as dating someone, I decided a long time ago that I would be very selective on who I would date. I would not ever put my son in a situation where he could end up getting hurt. So I am very peculiar about the people that I let in his life. My friend, there is a big difference between being scared and being selective. And I had rather make a mistake for safety any day. I definitely hear ya on that one, bodhisatya. The one word I truly don't like is the word why. And being free from the emotional turmoil that happens at times in a relationship is an added bonus. And having a network of friend does help. But honestly, though, sometimes the loneliness does creep in. But as I have gotten older even that isn't so bad when it does happen. Mylot helps a lot as it helps occupy my time and my mind ... LOL LOL Thanks for your thoughts and views on the subject. Cheers to being single for a long time.

Fiazio, I definitely agree with you on that. I was actually in a relationship/friendship with a woman for three plus years recently. And we were talking about maybe getting married. We had discussions about it and I was uncertain about it. Finally after a barrage of insults by her because I said that we should take things slow, we ended up not talking. It has been a couple of months now since we last talked. But to make a long story short, I am happy that we are not talking. And I am relieved because of all the pressure that was starting to build up just thinking about marriage. Just the thought of marriage was kinda bringing me down.

rodsdman, thanks for sharing your perspective. I mean I have an appreciation for those that have made their marriage work. My mom and dad has been together for almost 45 years now and it hasn't always been easy. But, for me, it would take an absolutely incredible person for me to ever think about it seriously again. The one observation that I have made about marriage is there most always is a power struggle that happens that lasts for near three or four years and then couples just kinda fall into their own little role. However, it is the ones that the roles are never defined that struggle moreso than others.

paleorainy ... Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Oh, I totally agree with what you said about the concept of being bound to another. I do wonder why people look at other people as possessions. I think that that may be the downfall to a lot of relationships. How can someone born free belong to another? The same goes for pets I suppose. How can a living, breathing creature belong to anyone? They are just rhetorical thoughts.

I also love being single yesterday our relatives visit us when my cousin husband's ask me where is my boyfriend I said I don't have a boyfriend and he keeps on telling me that he going to find me one. Honestly I'm not interested to be in the relationship because it is very complicated and I'm still enjoy my freedom at least no one going dictate me. It seems that my mother want a grandkids now because all of her siblings have a grandchildren and she is jealous to them. I'm only 26 yrs. old and marriage is very far to my mind so far.

It depresses the hell out of me that I'm single but I'm not the type who'll throw themselves into relationships and pretend I'm happy. Some people say the right person just comes along. The only thing I find great about being single is I can save three times more money than I can when I'm in a relationship!

Hi solared: that's the best part of finding the perfect wife or husband that is supposed to stay with you for the rest of your lives but in the mid time there are some nice things about being single as i mentioned, well that depends of the persons, i must admit that some people prefers to find their companion as fast as they can, in my case i wait for love no matter what it takes it until it arrives and before that i'm enjoying being single and free. Lol. Xd
