standard time blues

It's cold and foggy here and with the change in time all of our clocks are off, and I don't just meant the ones that hang on the walls, those are easy to fix. Our dog and cat both woke us up this morning because to them we were getting stated late, as the day goes by I feel rushed but each time I look at the clock is shows i have plenty of time. How long does it take you to adjust to the time changes?

If you have plenty of time don't be hurry. Get warm in your bed.

You haven't tried to stay in bed with dogs and cats telling you it's past time to get up and feed them, they walk all over you and make a lot of noise until you get up and fix things. Warm in bed is not for parents or pet owners. Thanks

We no longer have daylight saving here in Australia although we had a three year trial and it was voted out. Personally I found it difficult to adjust to the time change initially. This is the first year in a while without it and I feel better for it I must say.

the only thing i dont like about the time change is that it gets dark so early here now! it is usually about 6:00 when it starts getting dark. how depressing is that? lol.

It takes me a few days, it takes the dogs much longer. Their mealtimes are off, Gus' medication schedule is off, everyone is confused. This morning I woke up "later" than I usually do and the dogs stayed in bed, confused. The only nice thing about living in Arizona all those years was that they didn't change their time like most of the other states!

Hi Pat. Everyone's "body clocks" here are off kilter, too. I wish they'd just leave it alone! For me, it takes weeks to adjust. Karen

I know what you mean I always feel the first few days a bit out of whack or in a fog. Its my body trying to adjust to the time change I guess. I should be good by mid week, I hope!

Hi savypat, I really didn't notice it at all this year except for the fact that the nights are longer now. I'm sure that it must have affected me when I was working, and it would be natural for it to take a few days for the body to adjust. I think I've always paid more attention to it in the spring. Blessings.

In the fall, no time at all. In the Spring, seems like it takes me forever to adjust!
