How close are you with your family?

i am very close of my family, actualy i live with my parents and i am maried and have a son

That is good, niah & i know u do all for them u can. I was not close to my parents & will not go into why. It is a very, very long sad story.

We brought also with very strong family ties,since when i was child i grew up with my grandmother,uncle,cousin with families in one home.Specially my parents before they are staying with my grandmother's house,but my parent's have many children already they transfer to another house, but still im with my grandmother.During pre-school until high school im with my grandmother.During special occcassions all my aunties we have gathering in my grandma house.

I am currently helping to take care of my grandparents medical needs such as doctors visits, prescriptions laid out for the week, making sure they understand what is going on with there healthcare. They live in a retirement community and are still taking care of themselves on a daily basis, but we had some issues with a doctor that was overmedicating and not testing to see if they really needed the medicine he was prescribing. I can't imagine not helping them out so that they will get to be a part of their great grandsons life as long as possible.

good to hear that...same here..!! I m doctor but till I get married I will stay with my parents..I plan to serve them till I die but not sure of future...
Though I m not emotionally close to them much...But I still love them..!!

I think here in the United States family is really important since if you do not have family you do not have anything,and I am really close to most of my family,especially my parents who me and my wife live with right now,and we are gonna get a double wide and put it behind their house,and my parents help us a lot,and they are helping us learn to budget our money,and I am also close to my grand parents and we eat dinner with them from time to time,and we spend time with my great grandmother especially on Friday nights because she can not be alone,which what do you expect she is ninety five years old and she can still move around.

I am very close to my children and grandchildren. I have two sisters and am very close to one of them even though I love the other one.

same with me here. I came from very big family and we are all close to each other and respect the eldery. My brothers still live at home and they are both almost 30 years old. I want to raise my children with the same kind of attitude. hope he will be living with me until he get merried.

I think strong family ties is something innate in most Filipino families. Growing up, I was surrounded by cousins and aunts and uncles. They didn't live with us but they were always at our house, just basically hanging out there. Also, my maternal grandparents lived with us when they were still alive. That alone was enough to instill in me strong family ties and I've made an unspoken vow to take care of my parents personally in their old age.

I love my mother and have stayed in town to help her out while my siblings left the area. Now my brother is back in the area.

My sister still lives quite a ways away, but she moved our uncle and a cousin to be near her so she can take care of our uncle (mom's brother.) The cousin she moved is actually from the other side of the family.
