It is true that soap is not good for the face as it contains several harsh chemicals. One could wash ones face with cold water and then use a moisturiser which in my case is Aloe vera sap Aloe vera grows in my garden and I use the sap or gel on my hands and face.

I don't use soap on my face because it makes my skin very dry if I do, so I use an exfoliating scrub once in awhile and I also use an acne cleaner too.

Hello bebs,
hahaha, I am at your back, reading and responding to your discussions today. I can use both on my face. Again, depends on the availability. But most of the time I'd rather use facial wash, because my face is quite irritable to some soaps.
Take care and have fun myLotting red_amethyst

i had had a brief fling, about only 8 years of my 35 years of life on earth
, with facial washes and had gotten back to soap. i thought then soap was making my face break out but it is the wrong brand of soap for i have sensitive, oily skin. i prefer soap for if i had eaten something that caused an acne to errupt i just notice that staying away from that particular food and using my favorite soap results to the acne drying up within the day. i cannot say the same thing with facial washes.

lucky you you could use creams on your face. that is one territory my derma would tell me, "i told you so..." any products that has cream in it spells danger once it gets in contact with my face

my wife uses ponds facial wash every single night of our entire marriage. I knew it works for her as you can't see any pimples on her face. And it keeps her face young and beautiful. Never see her tried any other brand though.

I rarely use regualr soap on my face because it's harsh and irritating for your skin. I prefer using an actual facial wash. It's so much better for your face and it's actually meant for your face. I used to use St. Ives but I've been buying an off brand now because it's a few cents cheaper than buying the name brand.

I use facial wash on my face because i think thats more perfect for the skin .The skin becomes soft and more clean and glowing on using facial wash rather than soap on using which the skin goes rough and dry.I think 'Dove' soap is also soft on the skin as it contains only milk and moisturizers. One can also use milk for washing face as it acts as a cleanser if the facial soap is not available.

I'm using dove soap to wash my face for a long time now and I don't have any problem. Actually few months ago I to stop using dove because I bought and want to try the clean&clear facial wash, but after using it few times I'm starting to get pimples, so I stop it and get back to use dove.

When I wash my face while taking a shower I use the shower gel I have. When I wash my face after eat or before going to bed I use the soft soap I use to clean my hands.

Well, there were no facial washes when I was younger. I have grown to use soap for bathing and washing my face. I don't have any preference for any brand of soap but I tend to buy the milder ones. I take off my makeup by using cleansing cream. After that, I just wash my face with soap and water. I always soap and rinse my face three times. I feel very clean doing it. It just works for me, ain't having dry face here.

I use facial lotion to wash my face. Formerly, I used to wash my face with just warm water that I thought it was enough to clean the skin. But now I see that facial lotion makes me feel more comfortable, and help me to disguide my real age, so I'll keep using it, haha.

Hi Bebs! I am not using ordinary soap on my face. Ever since I turn into my adolescent age, I already stopped using ordinary soap. I've been alternating facial wash products from Olay, L'Oreal, Neutrogena, Avon, and Ponds. Ordinary soap can dry up the skin so I really don't use that.

Oh wow!! thanks my friend for sharing your secret. I used Olay but cream bot facial wash. There are times that I see lots of L'Oreal products on sale here but I don't pay attention in it. The products you mentioned are somewhat affordable here but I am not paying attention. I must collect them when they are on sale. Thanks..

Facial skin is a lot more sensitive than other parts of our skin. I used to use just a regular soap to wash my face when I was younger since when we're young our skin has more volume and is thicker. However as we get older our skin will lose volume and will become thinner so facial soap or cleanser is a must to use. As we grow older we should be seeing some age spots and other imperfections on our face and this is normal and uncontrollable. I use Neutrogena visibly even facial cleanser to even out my facial skin tone. True we can't control ageing but we can choose to age gracefully by taking care of our facial skin.

I use anti aging facial wash to wash my face.. Soap tends to dry my face out and although I am only 33 years old I am hoping that all my anti aging products will help me as I age
