dawnald (10362) | 2 months ago | No, some men look hot with facial hair.

|
|
jb78000 (1929) | 2 months ago | true. of course some men look silly with it...

|

wmraul (581) | 2 months ago | Hey .. why are you talking only about Somme men (and anyway, is about all men from near Somme river or just survivers of Somme battle?)?

| 2. kalpal2003 (82) | 2 months ago | I prefer my guy to be clean shaven. It's alright if he has a little bit of scruff, but beyond that, I don't really care for facial hair.

3. jb78000 (1929) | 2 months ago | as dawn just said depends on the man. however there are certain men who could do with as much foliage as possible covering up their faces. possible just the eyes peeping through would do.

jb78000 (1929) | 2 months ago | hello tristram shandy. anyway i was getting at more the aesthetic value of sometimes hiding behind a facial hedge.

thea09 (4900) | 2 months ago | Horrible things are most likely lurking in that hedge, as well as behind it.

4. Jennlk84 (2275) | 2 months ago | I like it when my husband shaves his face! I love how smooth it feels. The scruff just looks messy and scratches my face when I kiss him - lol.

jb78000 (1929) | 2 months ago | i just had a look too - but could have worked out from his comments that he had a beard.
| |
|
|
wmraul (581) | 2 months ago | Is not something for sure.
Sometimes I shave dayly, sometime I shave dayly but only trim the mustache .. sometime I simply leave both mustache and beard to grow and just trimm it ..

thea09 (4900) | 2 months ago | Scruffy facial hair does not look distinguished and why on earth would you want to look older, taking the foliage off will make you look younger which is a good thing. When you get grey hair that will make you look distinguished and older.

jb78000 (1929) | 2 months ago | personally i have nothing against beards (not hedges mind you). i think you are just afraid that beards mean less chest hair. doesn't work like that thea.

thea09 (4900) | 2 months ago | jb, beards, anoraks, and the guardian. Need I say more.
| |
|
|
jb78000 (1929) | 2 months ago | oh come on thea. that is really mean i have never once been out with a man who wore an anorak. or took the guardian too seriously. or had a guardian reader style beard.
| |
|
|
|
jb78000 (1929) | 2 months ago | i'm neutral on beards - sometimes they work and sometimes they don't. i'm not into big bushy ones because i prefer to know what their faces actually look like.

7. speakeasy (1438) | 2 months ago | As a woman, I prefer my man (men); either clean shaved or with a mustache (if the mustache is kept clean and trimmed). A mustache does make a young man look more mature (older); so, I can see why some men like to wear them. But, after you reach a certain age; they just make you look old.
Beards; if you just have to wear one - keep it clean, combed, and trimmed so, it is neat, not scraggly. Also, wear it long enough so that the hairs are soft; not scratchy. Shampoo and conditioner will help keep it clean and soft.
But, I do not prefer beards simply because if I want to kiss your cheek or nibble along the jaw line; I do NOT want a mouth full of hair. I might as well kiss or nibble the back of your head! Yuck!

8. cloudwatcher (3491) | 2 months ago | Well, as a one-man woman, I prefer my man to be clean shaven - but then I've never seen him any other way.
I have 5 sons and all of them at one stage or another have grown beard and/or mo. I much prefer them clean-shaven, but at least they keep them neat and tidy and certainly not bushy.

9. GardenGerty (20557) | 2 months ago | On my first husband was alive, I felt he looked best in a beard, he had a receding chin. My current husband just looks old if he lets his facial hair grow out. He looks much better clean shaved.
