Do you think half year is enough for couples to get marry?

I don't think it's enough time to know each other. Couples may just end up having divorce. Maybe a year or two is suffice. Divorce is very common nowadays and one reason or cause of it is marriage without further investigation. Lol

I agree with you friend.. I'm also not yet married but I'm living with a partner for over 6 years now and I think being married or not is a not a big difference for our relationship. But anytime we can plan for it. And I really want to plan everything about it someday.

I'm not so totally agreeing with the other couples that they must get married just because the woman got pregnant, and to avoid the bad influence of the people around them, getting married is the answer. For me, don't just listen to the other people. It's you who will live forever with the person you'll marry, so what's the sense of their opinion?

in the Islamic religion there is the verse which states that by married, the child of adam, get protection from 40 kinds of sin and the devil will cry when a child of adam is married.

So, based on the verse, indeed when deciding to marry a lot of temptations, one of them is the mind what may decide to establish a marriage is only a short time. The answer, probably, as long as you believe the decision to marry is the way of best for your life and you believe with the conditions has set God

If you really want stick to this it's OK...but get to know each other too much sometimes fails the relationship.....If you really love someone you will love them no matter what...so I think how long does not count much when it comes to relationships....

I agree. Take your time. Test him/her through all kind of situations. Create a quarrel and see how they react. Is he/her the silent type? The raging fury? The bad mouth jerk? The cry baby?
Can you cope with his/her reactions? Then create some other situations and evaluate again, before deciding anything.
My last boyfriend disappeared totally for 2 weeks when we got into a quarrel, and came back like nothing happened. To me that's not a mature way to face a relationship problem. I broke it off immediately.

I will say a year or even more, the better you know your partner, the easier it will be for you to know if you will live with the peson or not

Firstly, I have been very happily married for almost 50 years. We are now more in love than ever and my husband is my very best friend.

The biggest reason for a marriage breakdown is cited as being lack of communication. While I agree that this is the basis of most problems, I tend to think that problem was created beforehand.

Too many people rush into marriage - or rush into a relationship. When considering a life-long partnership, many factors should be explored. While "love" is considered to be the most important ingredient, and I agree it IS very important, I believe it is even more important that the couple LIKE and RESPECT each other, and that from out of this respect and open friendship, love develops and grows.

I do not believe in "love at first sight" or instant love. I would not deny a definite attraction, but it cannot be described as love because love is a very deep emotion and takes time.

It is essential that a couple learn much about each other BEFORE there is any intimacy. As they get to know each other's likes and dislikes, temperaments, characteristics, ideals, principles, values, reactions etc they will develop a bond. Admittedly, they might grow apart, but this is the time for that to happen, not after marriage.

Is six months enough? Not unless the couple have known each other very well for years beforehand, and have recently developed a stronger attraction, but even then six months is a very short time.

Hmm, as a rule, that's too short a time to have been together to plan on getting married, but there are always exceptions to the rule. I personally do not believe in "love at first sight" but, what can you do? Sheer dumb luck happens and people who dare to take these kinds of risk with love sometimes do get their happy-ever-after. Generally speaking, a longer period of courtship/dating is best. I'm not about to condemn couples who do not observe this though.

Hello .If they realy in love then why not .Some times couples need less time to get may.

I dont really understand the need to rush into marriage but personally, I dont think 6 months is enough time to get to know each other.

So, I heard some people may have done it but the divorce rate of rush weddings are high. Marriage doesn't guarantee that you'll be together forever. It's just something that binds two people legally.
