Is doing make-up okay in public?

I don't think its should be down in public. I have only applied makeup in a ladies room, my bathroom or in the car as a passenger. I would never be ablel to apply it in a public place with others watching. Its just not something that should be done in public but many women do it anyway.

I think as a lady, it's better not to do make-up in the public as it seems not a right attitude to me. I as a lady, until now, i never ever tried to do my make-up in a public, as i don't really like the way, so many pairs of eyes looking at what i am doing at that moment. I prefer to do my make-up at my bedroom, washroom or inside my own car, when my partner is driving. At least, there is no one really looking at what i am doing. This is my answer for your question....

hi nishdan, i do not think it is appropriate to do makeup in public, it is not polite to people in the same situation, if one has to makeup, there must be something wrong on her face, not in perfect situation, it is not the time to do makeup at this moment, exposing your disdvantages. but it is ok in car or ladies' room, although it is in public, but it is ok.

I think if just looking at the mirror and checking out whether the hair is out of place or something is quite alright, but if make-up, erm, it might give the wrong impression that a lady is vain. In fact, too vain if the lady starts to use blusher, powder and whatnot. There was this one time I went on a public transport and there was this gorgeous lady touching up her face. She was already pretty, so I don't know what else she went to apply. Seemed that her face was already full on make-up. Just made me wonder..

Nowadays, it is very common that people tend to do make-up in public.

In my opinion, the only reason people wear makeup are to experiment and try out new looks or styles. For various reasons, people are busy for work or other things and they have enough time to do make-up. So, when in public places, such as a bus, some women tend to do some make-up. Perhaps any sort of personal grooming in public does not look good, but at least most women feel good when they have done make-up.

I won't feel so surprised when I meet such a situation because doing make-up in public is really very common in such a society.

I do not think it a matter. Everyone has her habit to do the things if only not effect others.

i think doing make-up in public places is not wrong, because before they travel to make-up first. and in the way they felt their appearance looks a mess. Probably caused by the wind. That they require performance improvements. So prior to their performances are geared toward re-look more presentable, so much to do make-up in the midle way. have a nice day.

Doing your make up in public is ok. Better to do it in public than to do it in your car where you can pose danger to others. I think that this is no taboo, when a woman needs to take care of business, then they simply need to go for it. Also it is important to make sure that women look the best that they can for themselves. So if this happens to be that they would like to do the make up in public then so be it.

Every time when we are talking about someone other than us then we should also think from his/her point of view.
May be you are from some sort of different environment and he/she belongs to some other so it is not right to just say that it is wrong or right.
Yes some times if you are doing make up in public in some shabby manner or by just making some trouble for others then it is not right but if you are making it gently and without any trouble making then it is just OK. After all it is your own life and you have independence and right to do anything you want if it is not interrupting with some other one's independence.
