I'm back home but still in pain..  

am a bit afraid..for her surgery of course, it's no ride in a bike thing

but fellow mylotters once she recovers from surgery,at least then she will be relieved of all the stressors, so controlling her blood sugar will a whole lot easier, that I do know as a long standing diabetic. pain and stress do a number on blood glucose.

Thanks bunches, Lamb! I'm actually looking forward to this surgery. I'm not new to them and all the other ones were uneventful so I know this one will be as well.

Hatley is right...after the surgery, I'll be better able to control the diabetes, bp, and cholesterol along with my weight. My dr. upped the strength of my diabetes meds for now with all the stress I'm under.

You are so very right, Hatley! I can't even exercise right now being it hurts too much to even walk which is my most fave form of exercise. My sugar is staying under 200 but I know it should be under 100. I'm on the pills so the dr. upped the strength a little to help me drop that level to where it should be. The diet isn't all that bad for me being I made the decision about 5yrs ago to eat healthier. Means no more white bread, chips and all that other crap with no real nutrition values. We eat a LOT of fruits and veggies and wheat or 7-grain bread and less meat. Just have to adjust it a little is all.

This instant..my stressor is a 4-legged orange tabby who is trying very hard to help himself to his treats that are behind a door. LOL God made his paws into hands, I swear!

Pye, I was going to have that simple surgery..Novasure..and was actually on the table when I started the miserable hacking cough of a long time smoker. He had me sit up and checked me out to find I had bronchitis and refused to do the surgery saying the tube down my throat might cause me to get pneumonia. This is why I finally made the decision to quit smoking. I couldn't hack the damn bronchitis for nothing. Only after 6mo. smoke-free did it finally go away. Then I had eye infections and the UTIs. Now, it can't be put off any longer. The gyn doing the surgery is awesome and funny. I just know I'm gonna 'hear' about why it took me so long to get back to him on this. lol Thanks for the prayers and give that big baby of yours a hug and kiss for me along with Kissy.

Thanks for the prayers, Opal. I know all my other issues pretty much center around these miserable fibroids. The biggest one can actually be seen as a lump on my stomach and if you put your hand on it, can feel it also. She said that one has been there growing since around the time my daughter was born which was 11yrs. ago. They could all be bigger than that now being I haven't had another ultrasound yet but they did do a cat scan on them. The ER doctor actually hissed out DAMN! when he felt the one and his eyes were full of concern. Course, promising him a black eye if he tried touching it again might of brought the word out as well. lol It HURT, dammit!
I just want these things outta me so I can go back to leading a normal life again. So much I haven't been able to do cause of them. One is something super simple like washing my feet in the shower. I can't bend over without pain!

Hiya GardenGerty! My mom had the same done about 20yrs. ago and she recovered nicely. Only concern was my dog who kept insisting on cuddling with her being he knew she wasn't well. I know this surgery will be my ticket back to decent health and really looking forward to it. Imagine, I will be able to sleep throughout the night again instead of in blocks. I can go back to using reg. pads...wait a min. here......I won't have any use for them anymore...yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!! lol

That is why I decided to just start a discussion about it instead of trying to tell everyone in Pye's discussion,one at a time. This is another reason why my diet has been blown into a talespin. I go every week to my dietitian to adjust calorie/carb intake as needed until after the surgery to ensure I'm getting enough nutrtion to replace what I'm losing through the blood loss and that I'm on the prescription iron as well. I'll be fine, Lori. I'm really looking forward to the hysterectomy knowing it's going to really help me with my other health issues once I'm healed.
