I'm feeling down today... HELP!

Everyone always asks for these pick-me-uppers, and I can never think of anything. I guess I'm just not very humorous and entertaining like everyone else here. But I just wanted to let you know that we all have those days, and they usually blow over pretty quickly. My thoughts are with you!

Think of a time when you felt really great and try to imagine that feeling then, go for a long walk to look at how beautiful nature is. It is a good thing to be alive and you can see the beauty all around you. Forget home and work and think about you and what would make you happy then make a mental list of them. Think of solutions that would fix your problems and how you can change things. Then, implement these solution one at a time.Sometimes we know what would fix our problem but not how to implement it.

Sometimes when i am down i would like to do something i have beed dreaming about. For example, i would like to buy something i have long wanted or go for a short trip. And maybe sometimes i will speak to some of my freinds and have a meal together with them. Just try to find a way to let you concentrate on others interesting instead of focusing on yout trouble. I believe just let our trouble out of our mind we will see it in another way and feel not so bad later. Wish you will feel a little better later!

Hi bounce58! I'm sorry that I didn't see this sooner, or I would have come by to help lift you up sooner.

We all have those times when everything looks bleak and black. But, I'm here to say that it's only temporary. I believe I've lived a few years more than you and I know in my heart that it is true. My motto in life is this: The only constants in life are God and change. Meaning nothing in life stays the same except those two things.

Nothing remains the same forever, neither the good or the bad. If you aren't able to rely on God, then rely on yourself. You have the ability to change your circumstances, but nothing truly life changing usually happens overnight.
Living only for others or only for yourself is a mistake. Balance is the key. If you don't love yourself, care for yourself, become your own best friend--then you will always feel alone inside and not able to give to others when they need you most.

I don't recommend drinking or head-banging, all either of them will accomplish is giving you a monster headache! If you're already feeling bad, then you'll only feel worse. lol

You are here for a reason, you just don't know what it is yet. You are going through all this for a reason, you just don't know what the reasons are yet.
My suggestion? If it's hard for you to talk it out--then write it out. Make a list of what is bothering you and what you want to change. Then make another list giving yourself ideas about what you can do to make those changes. If there are fairly simple ones you can start with, start with those first. Make those changes that are under your control next. For those that aren't under your control, think about ways you might be able to change them, some day. The more success you have at changing things that are making you feel bad, the happier you will feel.

We all have choices in life, if the choices you've already made are making you unhappy, then make new choices--and keep on making new choices until you get where you want to be. Remember, attitude is everything!

Hi friend, I can understand how you feel, and you are not alone, I can assure you that. In fact you would be amazed at the number of people who go through this situation everyday even yours truely. All I want to say to you is what ever you do, don't hurt yourself. Dont take any action that will be harmful to your health, try to calm down and take steps to deal with your situation. By the time you start thinking of ways to solve your problems, ideas would start coming and you feel better when you start seeing possibilities take heart

Hi bounce, When I'm down i like jokes too, it helps to lift the mood. Have you tried to google the word jokes, you'll find some funny sites that will really lift your spirits. Sorry to hear that you're not up to par but you are in my prayer's.

i understand what you are feeling. i am feeling sad now and has been like this for many years. i didn't have good life. but now i want to change my thoughts and way i am feeling by listening to uplifting songs. i am listening to songs in youtube like somewhere over the rainbow. ha ha. yeah. but the message is really inspirational. it uplifts my spirit. i actually listen to it every day for few days now while i am online. so basically listening to the same song and keep repeating it always once it ended. i listen to the song by jal joshua. i like the angelic voice of the boy. specially he came from my country and made me proud in his win in Australia got talent though he is filipino.

I think we're having the same feeling..I even cry with no reason. I want to try something new. But I have turned down soooooo many opportunities, perhaps I don't know where and when to start?I just couldn't understand why? I feel so tired but I just spend most of my time lying on the bed, thinking of so many things. I am losing my weight. I want to talk to my friends but I am afraid I may just bother them. I'll try to understand this one.
