Honestly, I never had this problem until recently. After having a mastecomy I've started wearing a prosthesis (fake boob) and it can get uncomfortable after a long day. Also my radiation treatments (last one tomorrow) have given me a "sunburn" and so the bra is even more uncomfortable. I pretty much take it off when I'm at home.

There was one time I wanted to rip my bra off when I went to the mall. I had gone there to get a maternity/nursing bra and had waited longer than I should have to get one.
I had planned on buying it and waiting until after I got it home and wash it before wearing it. But I couldn't wait that long. I know I shouldn't have, but I ended up wearing it right out the store. Don't worry, I made sure to pay for it.
Other times it's happened when I'm at home. I just get so tired of wearing it that I practically rip it off after wearing it for so many hours. The darn thing drives me crazy! It gets so darn uncomfortable and here it isn't even underwire.
Happy mylotting!

Oh my goodness, you are definitely not alone. I have the hardest time in finding one that fits right, anyway. It seems like I am always washing the same two so that I don't have to wear the others. LOL
And if I have been working outside in the yard, and I have one of those others on while I am hot and sweaty, it is just terrible. Sometimes, I will take it off first thing when I walk in the door. And when I used to work at the bank, or other office places, that was the first thing that I did every day. LOL That, and put on my comfy flannel pants.

If I'm home, otherwise I just suffer with the rest of ya til I do get home.
I agree w/ a mis-shapened underwire that's poking you is painful. Or if you are like me and some bra's don't do well for those of us with sloped shoulders and are constantly adjusting our bra straps. Or I finally found a bra that gives me cleaveage in my size but if it's not sitting just so you start falling out

Depends on the bra. I have a couple that can get uncomfortable, it pokes in the wrong spots or something like that. But otherwise I usually leave mine on from the moment I wake up till the moment I go to sleep. When I buy new ones I do my best to find ones that are the most comfortable so that I can leave them on all day like that.

I am a stay at home mom so I go most of the day with out a bra. I am only an B cup so it's not like I am flopping out all over the place =) When I go out for the day I will put a bra on but I can't wait to get home so I can go ahead and take it off. I just feel more relaxed when I am without a bra there are certain times when I feel like I am being smothered when I have it on.

I don't know what others have said because I am answering from email inbox but I am sure there were alot that said they agreed. I know I have been in that situation many times. Especially with those underwire bras..poking and gouging..One the way home I have on a few occasions taken the thing off in the car..lol seriously no kidding..

Nah, you're not alone, I have this urge often, and most generally give in and take it off. I am a stay at home mom, so most generally I go with out, so when I am out and about it starts itching, rubbing, and riding up and driving me nuts. My husband knows the first thing I do after we get home from an outing is I go straight to the bedroom, take off the bra before anything else get's done. I have been out and about and have taken if off on the ride home because I surely ccouldn't wait any longer.. I have to say for something that's most generally a must, why should they be so darn uncomfortable? lol.
