What is the reason to make your blog or website if you have it?

I write blogs because I like writing in the first place. I think that if you don't enjoy writing, then you'll never enjoy writing a blog. It will always seem like too much hard work.
If you have a subject you're really interested in, then that will help you to make your blog interesting too. But if you're just in it for the money, you may as well forget it. There are very few blogs making enough money for the writers to live on; most people make a pittance out of blogging.

Hi,red,I have 2 purposes in creating blogs.My main source of income is through my consultancy i.e-http://www.newjatrophaworld.com.This i used for getting clients in our field only and no way concerned with non-Agriculture members.
Second Blog on realpaying sites[not disclosed due to mylot rules],for getting earnings also.
In the same way i purchased domain for $10.69-http://www.work-from-house.com and not yet started posting.This i want to promote for heavy traffic and want to sell that domain.

I have a blog about free game downloads as you can see on my profile page by clicking on the noovegies link. I made is for the purpose of making monsy from it.
I monetize it using google adsense and in-text advertising.

I also put banners of the sites that pay me to click advertisements online so that my visitors can earn money online too the easy way. I promote them on my blog because they paid me. I even put the banners on my profile page too.

I began blogging because I want to improve my language but soon i came know about making money online and I started my time on how to do it. Thus I was neither able to create a blog or learn the language. Now I don't have any blogs but I do create mobile sites its because i love xhtml and i had even won a competition on making wapsites.:)

I made a website to put useful software, reports and e-books on so I could share them with others. I also made Squidoo lens and blogs to help others. I do make a little money off them but that isn't the reason for making them. They are to help educate some people about Type II Diabetes and to share recipes with them. One is for people who need help learning to write and speak in English. My biggest reward is when someone leaves a comment that says my blog or lens has helped them in some way.

We all have it for different reasons obviously. I am starting a website out of interest and hopefully to get some money out of it in the long run. I also want to put one out there for information purposes because I believe that there are certain topics that I am knowledgeable about and would like to share with others.

Hi redjeki, I just recently made a blog. Its about how a single mom is earning online. Some I know just tries to have a blog only because they thought they could earn a lot from adsense. But that is the same reason why most of them fail, I think. In order to get something from having a blog, you have to offer something back. And if you're not enjoying what you are doing, more or less you'll end up getting easily tired on doing it.

I personally have a few reasons why I even bother making a blog. I wanted to share my experience on how I finally get to start earning online, promote my affiliate programs, and somehow hope that my blog could be of help to others who wanted to earn online. If I get to earn from adsense, then that will be a bonus but if not, that's alright with me. I think if I get to make my blog useful to a lot of people, earning with adsense would just follow naturally.=)

The reason why i make awebite or a blog is to make money. I also love to post useful information that could be benefitial to people.

I have my own blog, and I often update my blog, the blog can't earn money fro me, but just give me a lot of fun, I will put some photos, and share them with my friends, and I also wirte some diary, and my feeling on the blog, maybe there is only a few people visit my blog, but I'm still happy with writing stuff on it.

I blog for fun and passion. As of date, I have 2-3 active blogs and I have some others which I have not updated for awhile now. I'm just doing it for the sheer fun of it, and the incentives that I get from it is just an added bonus, just like the participation in mylot. It is more awesome if you do things for fun, in my opinion..
