is it reliable or does it tend to get information from very dubious sources and then claim it is news?

It's been known to post out right crap. sometimes ya find a straight news story,usualy one that makes the republican party look bad.....but news non the less, you wont ever see them doing something like telling you about the pasts of some of Obama's apointees or anything like that though.

ok but i still am unclear as to whether it actually reports fallacies like w 'we get our news from some very odd sources'nd or is just busy spinning whatever bits of trivia it can find. as a comparison i'd say fox spins stuff something rotten but i haven't yet caught it actually making stuff up. this is a genuine question because i know bog all about huffy.

it has posted out right rubbish before, not all of it, a lot of it is just badly spun stories.

a wnd then. why do people use these sites (with the exception of when something is funny annie) when solid alternatives such as the onion and my second favourite drivel/completebollocks.com can be accessed just as quickly?

I'm sorry, X, I wish I'd have found "The Nation" link, I'd have used that, it's my favorite magazine! Isn't it funny! I laughed so hard when I saw it on TV the other night I had tears in my eyes and my cats thought I'd gone nuts.

HuffPo is usually pretty far left but I'd say, just like any blog site that leans one way or the other, there are good, respected writers and some that aren't so great. WND, on the other hand, is a bunch of wingnuts...at least, that's MY story and I'm sticking to it...lol!

I thought the Onion went too far with this one. I don't mind funny, even if it is someone I like but this wasn't funny at all.

to be honest i agree with all 3 of you. the headline was funny but the rest was too dark - the reason it is there is because i was in a hurry and wanted to add an onion link to make a point about links. i have now done this as a separate discussion so apologies to anyone who finds this link a bit much.
