I like Bukisa more than AC at this moment

That's too bad. I see many people use traffic exchanges to attract readers, and that directly violates the TOS of Google Adsense.
If Bukisa does not terminate the account of writers using traffic exchanges, then Google will terminate its adsense account. I guess they can make a few hundred dollars from Google Adsense every day.

How sad Diamania, Bukisa is really good. I have written articles for AC; however, not satisfied with them. So, I'm now sticking with Bukisa and Triond.

I love Bukisa! I really can't stand Helium, AC, or Triond. I've written a few articles for them, but yuck.... I stopped. I kind of like Suite 101, and demand studios is okay, but I kind of got burnt out on writing articles for them because their editors are so inconsistent.

Compared to Demand Studios, Bukisa is hardly a writing site for serious money.
At least the top earners in Demand Studios can make more than thirty thousand dollars per year, I doubt anyone in Bukisa can even make a hundred dollars per month.
bukisa is just for fun and make a bit pocket money.

Bukisa is good for writing, not for discussion, same as Associated Content. At least Bukisa accepts content of 250 words, while the minumum word count in AC is 400.
Bukisa is good if you have interesting article for submission.

Hi Scheng, You are true. Writing an interesting 250 word article is definitely not tough.

250 words is nothing! I may have to start using helium titles to make articles for Bukisa! I can usually crank out 200+ to 300 words easily without reasearch. Then sometimes I have to figure out how to extend the article to the minimal 400 words when there is little more to say. I am liking the idea of writing at Bukisa more and more.

So how is that working for you?

Do you have social networking sites, such as Facebook or Twitter account? It's gettting much easier to promote.
Then you can promote internally. Many writers use a one-for-one comment exchange. If you add a comment in their articles, they will add a comment in your articles. That is a good way to increase page views.
The best is still to use seo techniques in writing, and wait for search engines to send readers.

Do a keyword research before writing articles. Think of phrases you would use if you are searching for the particular article. Just remember to post original content for Hubpages, and post the link to your blog on every single blog post. You can earn through Google Adsense, Amazon and Ebay affiliate.

Hi Rosepedal, how is your page view in ehow? If you have high page views and low earnings, then Bukisa will work better.
Ehow is revenue sharing, based on the revenue from Google Adsense. If 1,000 read and never clicks on the advertisement, then you get nothing. Bukisa is based on page views. the promotion part is easy, just add comments to every aricle you can find, and the other writers will read and comment on yours. That is before the search engines start to send readers to your articles.

I have high views just low earnings. It takes me two months to get my payout. I have an ideal. Why dont you go to my profile and there you will see my ehow link and go check them out and then let me know what you think on the sense of maybe doing Bukisa. That is if you dont care to. Thanks.

Anyway the type of article for ehow is different from Bukisa. Ehow is a step by step instruction, Bukisa is article-type format, more similar to Associated Content type of writng.
I can't really say how much you can earn from Bukisa, it depends on your networking skills, your seo techniques and the referral earnings. Bukisa has a three levels referrals earning. Even if you dont write a lot, you still can earn from referrals.

Ehow accepts only US writers. I too love to write for them, but as I live in India I'm unable to write for them. Let me know if you are aware of any sites similar to ehow that is open to international writers.

Hi Arcideaco, Bukisa is still rather small as compared to AC. Right now Bukisa is increasing the standard of articles.
Bukisa used to be the rubbish dump for badly written articles, now that they start a Editorial team to clean up the site, they dont allow badly written articles anymore. It's an improvement in a way.
I like the tweet button more. It's good to see people tweeting my articles.

I never liked AC much either. I definitely prefere helium of the two. How would you say Bukisa compares to helium?

I am from the US and I have yet to be paid for 1000 views! They took three articles for upfront payment, the last offer was $2.09! I prefer helium to AC.

I think AC started to lower their upfront pay. Before, it was $3 as I've read from some previous posts.

Hi Rg, the passive payment computation for both AC and Bukisa is comparable, if your article is long enough.
Bukisa jams all the words in one page, even if your article is 2,500 words. AC will split into 6 pages. So when a person reads the article in Bukisa, you gain one page view, when reader reads the same article in AC, you gain 6 page views.
The problem is that AC has so many bugs, and they seem to make things worse for search engines to crawl the articles. Bukisa is getting better. The tweet button right on top of the article is a neat idea.

I too agree that AC has lots of bugs in it.

Hi Canellita, why not submit to Helium instead? Bukisa has no upfront payment at all. It's better for duplicate content with some rewriting.
I think it's time to rewrite your articles and post in Bukisa. That will save effort and you can upload ten articles in a day.

Hubpages is excellent for backlinking to your articles in Helium or AC. You can add comment as outsider, and copy and paste the url of your profile page or the article, so that you generate a backlink to the articles for search engine spiders to follow.
The little tweet button in Bukisa allows the readers to tweet for you. I dont see this function in AC, the "share this article" function is rather useless, since most readers wont use it.
